Do you think Ai isn't brave/strong enough or ready to take down the BO? She doesn't want to run away but she isn't proactive either.

I don't think only one person is strong enough to take down the BO. You have the FBI, the CIA, the PSB, the MI6 and God knows who else are trying to bring them down😂

But if you mean if she's ready to help take the BO down, well she has been on the edge lately and I don't blame her. Imagine having a powerful organisation ready to kill you if they sniff your existence especially after having worked for them and knowing all of their ways.

And yes, she's usually not 'proactive' as in not going out of her way to hunt them down like Conan does because she knows what they're capable of. But, any time she feels her loved ones' safety is about to be compromised she doesn't hesitate to throw herself in harm's way and saves them regardless of her fears. For example:

1 . When she was willing to sacrifice her life in the Hijacked Bus case after sensing Vermouth's presence.

2. Or when she confronted Vermouth in the Halloween Case.

3. Or when she tried to keep Ran away from the detective agency when the BO was lurking there.

4. And finally, when she decided to take the antidote to confront the BO in the mystery train arc.

So yes, while she doesn't go out of her way to go up against the BO, when push comes to shove, she's willing to fight for her loved ones.

Also, I'm sure once she becomes aware that so many international intelligence agencies are trying to bring down the BO and will protect her and Conan like the FBI and the PSB, I'm sure she'll be more proactive and ready in sharing information to help bring the BO down.

Hi! I'm curious. It's rare to see a Haibara fan not ship CoAi. Is there any reason for you to ship Shiho with other characters and not Conan/Shinichi?

Hi! You're right, it is pretty rare and if you've gone through my blog you'd find most of my opinions and ships downright controversial but these are just my opinions 😂

Anyways, onto my thoughts on CoAi. I am both CoAi and not CoAi at the same time. I know this sounds confusing so I'll explain.

I love the Conan Haibara dynamic as FRIENDS. They've come a long way and their friendship development throughout the show is goals. Haibara and Conan's friendship have come a long way that they always each look out for each other. He looks after her physical and mental safety when there is a BO threat and she covers for him during investigations, whenever he's with Ran and consistently reminds him to not draw too much attention to himself to protect his identity.

Also, can we just appreciate their mum and dad vibes when it comes to looking after the three menaces aka the Defective boys (love them but they always up to no good😂).

Now, why don't I ship CoAi romantically? The answer is veryyyy simple... I am a ShinRan shipper 😂🥰

And besides that, I have other reasons for not shipping CoAi romantically.

Let's be honest, Shinichi is head over heels for Ran and he's oblivious to any romantic advances from any female other than Ran. Not just Haibara, but he also declined his senapi in school before because he only sees Ran.

And while I understand why so many people ship CoAi romantically, I just like them more as friends than lovers. I don't see a spark between them apart from the fact that they share wit, intelligence and their current circumstances

Now I'm gonna say something that might be controversial😗 but I don't want any CoAi fans to be offended or attack me. Please.🥺👉🏼👈🏼

Regarding her feelings for Shinichi, in my opinion it was just a crush. The way I see it, she has escaped a dark, cold past from the BO and Conan was the first person she met who was in the same situation as her. Not only that, but after a while, he warmed up to her, trusted her and showed her the good parts of life.

So I don't blame her for developing feelings for him. I think anyone who had such a traumatic past and manages to escape that then meets someone as warm as Shinichi, you'll definitely have feelings for them since you never experienced that in your past.

Right now, I think Haibara no longer likes Conan romantically anymore. And even if she does, she has accepted his relationship with Ran and even supports them. And anyone who'll say "No she's always reluctant to give him the pill to meet Ran because she still likes him," well, I disagree. The reason she's like that is because that man is reckless and alwaysss brings unnecessary attention to himself.

Also she's constantly warned him that the antidote is a prototype and she's unsure of any side effects so if anything, she's worried about his safety. But other than that, I think she's been very graceful and respectful of his relationship with Ran.

So yeah, bottom line is, I find CoAi friendship goals. But in honour of CoAi fans, I will compile my favourite CoAi moments (funniest canon and non-canon) in other posts.

What do you think of Hiromitsu x Masumi?

Mannn you're gonna make me cry. I love Hiromitsu so much and it makes me so sad that he died. He was such a wholesome, kind person and didn't deserve to die 😭.

I mean he's so considerate he went as far to leave Yamamura a message that he became a cop.

Anyways back to your question, based on that one time they met, my heart was swollen. It was so sweet of Hiro to go up to Sera and teach her some chords while she waited for Akai who lectured her soon as he found out she was following him. But apart from that, they haven't had more interactions so I can't really have an opinion.

To me it was just Hiro being Hiro, a kind, gentle soul who decided to cheer up a girl who just got scolded by her elder brother. Also he's unfortunately dead, so no matter what I think, it won't change anything.

If Conan and Ai return to their original bodies at the end of DC (in case that it will ever end lol more than 20 years no end in sight) What do you think they'll tell the detective boys 🤔 Just like : "Sry we're moving bye" Run around the corner take the antidote, ayumi genta and mitsuhiko run after them to properly say goodbye but just see two grownup strangers

To be honest, I'm not sure how they'll explain it to them or how involved the Detective Boys will be in the chapters of bringing down the BO. But there are two scenarios:

Conan and Haibara act like they're traveling far away then return to their former bodies keeping the Detective Boys in the dark. OR

They tell them everything and explain their situation, especially if the Detective Boys pick up on clues while the BO is brought down.

So I'm not sure which route Gosho is planning on taking. Either way, I'm pretty sure whatever he decides, it will be wholesome and conscientious of the children's feelings because we can't deny that they have become an integral part of Conan, Haibara and even Agasa Hakase's lives.

Do you believe Haibara will have a boyfriend in the end after getting back to Miyano Shiho?? I remember Akemi once told her sister to stop working on that drug, and find a boyfriend instead. Do you think her wish will happen someday? Or it's just a hint from Aoyama that Akemi had a boyfriend at that time? (Which is Akai Shuuichi of course).

In short, no I don't think she will. Detective Conan is most probably going to end with her staying single. Yes Akemi told her to have a boyfriend, but right now her main goal is survival since the BO is on her trail. A relationship is probably the last thing on her mind.

Also from a personal perspective, the poor girl has a lot of healing to do before getting into a relationship. I also said it before, but I don't think she needs to be in a relationship to be happy. If we look at what she lost and misses most, it's a family. I'd say she's found that with Agasa Hakase and the Detective Boys. And with the Akai family turning out to be her extended family, I'm guessing when all is resolved, she'll be close to them too.

And while I ship her with Rei, I think her staying single and working on her traumas is a more satisfying and realistic ending.

Why are people so excited about the relationship between Haibara and Mitsohiku?! And why are they expecting such romantic stuff b/w both??!!And how do they expect Gosho will do this such kind of non-sense??

Have they forgotten that Ai is actually an 18-years-old girl with mature personality?! Or are they expecting her to end up as a child and fall in love with Mitsu??!!

I really don't understand those fans who are so obsessed with Haibara's life (as a kid). It's temporary fake life after all, which happened as she took APTX!! I don't believe she will stay as Ai Haibara unless she forgets her memories in the end for example ( for a reason or another) ..

And I agree with you, Haibara Ai is a fake, temporary identity. It's so weird shipping her with Mitsuhiko who is a KID while she is almost an ADULT! In my opinion, she already acts like one, which makes the whole thing even nastier.

And yeah, I really hope she turns back to Miyano Shiho (I already mentioned my reasons before), and if Gosho makes her 'forget her memories', I'll punch a wall and the show is cancelled to me 😤

I believe someday Kir will be revealed to BO for being a NOC from CIA, and pretty sure she will be killed. And that won't happen until discovering the truth that Akai is still alive, and in my personal opinion, Vermouth will reveal that since she still has doubts on Kir to be traitor. But what about Bourbon? How will he be discovered as a PSB agent? RUM has doubted him to be a traitor who is trying to deceive him, and hinted that in Snowy Mountains case?? Is there any scenario you are thinking of?

Noooo not Kir! She's so precious and is actually such a kind soul🥺 I really hope she won't be killed off especially since now Eisuke will be in the same boat as Shiho wih all his immediate family dead.

With regards to Vermouth suspecting her, if she really wanted to kill her, I think she would have investigated her earlier on and killed her off. However, I don't think she really cares since Kir hasn't personally stood in the way of Vermouth, nor does she have anything to gain from killing her. Also, she doesn't have a grudge against her like she does with Shiho.

Vermouth has also been shown to not always eliminate anyone who is a threat to the BO as long as they're not a direct threat to her.

This is the complete opposite to Gin and the boss who think everyone should be eliminated immediately. And while you may not think this is canon, in movie 20, she expressed concern to Gin when he was willing to kill both Bourbon and Kir when they were only suspected to be NOC and nothing was yet confirmed.

If anyone who's most likely to kill Kir, it's Gin. He's held her at gunpoint before when Akai was suspected to be alive when it was actually Bourbon in disguise.

However, I doubt she'll actually be killed because she has survived so far and she's a valuable link to Conan and the FBI. It would be so frustrating if after all her intense character arc to have her killed in the end, so I'm really hoping Gosho won't kill her off. Also I really like her character so...

As for Bourbon being revealed as a PSB, I think it's bound to happen at some point just before the BO is being taken down. If it happens earlier, it's most likely going to be RUM who'll uncover him especially since Bourbon is working right under RUM's nose who's vibing in the sushi shop next door. I can't predict when this will happen though. However, unless Rei gives up his poirot job, I think he'll be safe, if not forever, then at least for a while longer.
