IT’S BEEN A FEW HOURS SINCE COURT LET OUT FOR THE DAY, since she found out about alec’s pacemaker surgery. the actual audacity of this man to just send her a bloody text telling her after the fact when he could have DIED & she’d be none the wiser until it was too late. he’ll get his comeuppance once he wakes up again, but for now she’s just WAITING, going over sandbrook with her two companions : zander & one andrew baxter. she’s never met the latter before, but he seems much too decent a man to have befriended the twins.
zander, on the other hand, is much more ANXIOUS than he’s letting on. he’s reading up on the man supposed seen around the gillespie’s house around the time of the disappearances, but he’s had to reread the same sentence about five separate times because he can’t FOCUS. eventually he tugs his glasses off his face & tosses them on the case file, rubbing his eyes out of frustration.
“are you alright?” ellie asks.
“SPECTACULAR,” he grouches. zander then sighs. “so. what does anyone make of this phantom stalker character? legitimate lead or jus’ more smoke an’ mirrors from lee ashworth?”
