Saw a post (that OP later edited to be about something else, so I couldn't reblog it from OP) that said not to let life and dystopia prevent you from creating yaoi.
I will be using that as inspiration for my Zoro/Sanji/OC fanfic, hopefully later today.
My OC Casey is in a triad with Zoro and Sanji in every verse he's involved in, except the one in his debut fic, Can't Live Like This.
And lately I'm thinking of a fic I'm probably not going to write set in a verse where Casey joins the Straw Hats. Sanji spends so much time trying and failing to create Casey's favorite dish, lasagna made by his sister Juno. Casey always enjoys what Sanji makes, but Sanji just can't seem to replicate Juno's recipe.
Until the Straw Hats disband and the triad visits Casey's home island before they leave for their new life together on the Baratie. Juno makes Casey her lasagna, for old time's sake. Sanji gets to eat the dish he's been chasing for so long and figures out immediately that it's made with jar tomato sauce, premade ricotta, and the like. With maybe a few exceptions (he doesn't have a pasta maker on Sunny), he prefers to make everything from scratch. He's honestly a little disappointed. But that doesn't matter. What matters is this is Casey's favorite food, and it really just comes down to what Casey's used to.
So Sanji practically begs for Juno's recipe, so he can make it exactly like she does, and he finds out the manufacturer of certain ingredients so he can contact them and purchase from them as necessary. And he buys and brings home the exact brands of ingredients he needs so he can try his hand at recreating the lasagna later.
And he does. And it's worth it. The look in Casey's eyes when he tries the lasagna makes it all worth it. The nostalgia for home, the love for his sister, the memories of her making it for him and the rest of the family, are all there. And Sanji couldn't be happier.
I don't talk about them on here, but I also ship my OC Casey with Sanji because they're in a triad with Zoro in every other universe Casey features in that isn't the Can't Live Like This universe.
In a modern AU, Casey likes to collect cooking videos and send the recipes to Sanji, asking, "Baby, can you make this?"
He also sends him those ragebait cooking videos, just to see him get mad. You know the ones, the ones with those blonde ladies in those white kitchens who make fucked up recipes with too much cheese and sodium that are made for people to share because of how ridiculous they are.
I like Picrews because they appeal to my love of dressup and also because they allow me to make images of my OCs. And now I can make images of my OC Casey and his two husbands.
