THE OCS

My main OC on here is Casey, this is his tag

He first shows up in chapter six of my fic Can't Live Like This as one of Zoro's love interests. The fic is Zoro-centric, meaning it centers around Zoro and his emotional journey. Zoro is in a situationship with Sanji until he isn't anymore, and then things get worse with Sanji (while things go well with Casey) until it culminates in a fight that is foreshadowed in chapter one.

Casey is set to reappear in the sequel, Rebuild.

An excerpt from chapter seven:

Zoro followed Casey out of the thick forest onto the beach of the cove. His gaze rested on Casey's back as he walked down the soft incline of the beach to a set of boulders, where he came to a stop. Flashing Zoro a cheeky grin over his shoulder, Casey stripped himself of his clothing until nothing remained, dropping his clothing onto one of the rocks. Smiling at Zoro in that amused way of his, Casey turned to face Zoro, waiting to see what he would do. Holy shit. Zoro thought to himself, taking Casey in. Eager to meet his challenge, Zoro began removing his clothes as he walked up to the set of rocks next to Casey. He wadded up his clothes and then dumped them on the adjacent rock. He stared down into Casey's eyes, those twin suns of his set over a bed of dozens and dozens of freckles. Or stars, Zoro thought. Twin suns and a bed of stars. "Got somethin' on my face?" Casey asked. "Freckles," Zoro said dumbly. Casey smirked. "Very observant of you." "It's just that—" They're nice. "You've—you've got a lot of them." Casey's smile softened. "Got 'em from one of my dads."

Zoro and Casey's ship name is Zocasey, here's their tag

Casey has a best friend named Mason

And two siblings: an older brother named Braden and an older sister named Juno (first pictured next to Casey)

Both Braden and Juno have shown up in Can't Live Like This, but not as much as Casey. I'm hoping to showcase them some more in Rebuild.

Mason has only been named in Can't Live Like This. He's set to show up in Rebuild.

Arden and Castor, Casey's dads, have shown up in Can't Live Like This.

Casey's siblings both have spouses.

Juno is married to Dev, named and modeled after Dev Patel.

Braden is married to a woman named Candy. No art of her.

Casey's siblings both have children with their spouses. Casey is single at the time of meeting Zoro.

Casey's lived a good life, but even he has bad experience with the World Government. All I'll say is he had a mentor once, named Esperanza, you can read about her in chapter thirteen of Can't Live Like This.

Eventually Casey, Zoro, and Sanji will end up together. For now, though, there must be hardships, such as: difficult conversations (gasp!), introspection (eeek!), vulnerability (the horror!), and several more fuck ups. And a little bit of tears (of the heart, not so much physical tears).

Well, if you've made it this far, I'm glad! I would also be glad if more people were to positively engage with my fics. I hope that putting this all in one place makes it easier. My OCs and the story I'm crafting for them mean a lot to me, and it means so much to me when people are curious about them and willing to engage with them.

Another Zoro is a Cat post I never made is the idea of Zoro making a cat activation noise when Sanji wakes him up from a nap.

I just remembered this panel from a post from daily-zoro

And I tagged it as cat activation noise because that's a cat activation noise if I ever saw one.

So yeah sometimes I like to imagine that Zoro's taking a nap and Sanji just lightly touches him to wake him up, usually because Sanji wants attention or he made Zoro food. And Zoro always wakes up making a little sound, much like a cat does when you wake them from their nap.

And while we're on the topic of Zoro's SO waking him from his naps, I have this AU with sapphicspaceranger where Zoro's in a relationship with Sanji and my OC Casey. If one of them, usually Casey, wake him up from a nap, Zoro will just grab hold of one of them and fall back asleep.

Tell me about your One Piece OC(s) please? :D

So this is Casey and his older sister Juno!

Casey's my most developed One Piece OC. He came to me not exactly in a dream, but close enough. Some time last year I was having trouble sleeping. I woke up in the middle of the night and while I was trying to fall back asleep, my mind started to wander and I started thinking about a Zosan fic I have planned. Well, I have one chapter posted, but most of the fic is in the planning stage. It's called Can't Live Like This and I don't know when I'll be able to continue it.

Anyway, things are very strained between Zoro and Sanji in this fic. I call it the Bad Timeline Fic because whenever I write One Piece fic, you can rest assured that Zosan is canon or at least endgame in it, no matter who is the main focus of the fic, even if I never explicitly state that Zosan is canon or endgame in that fic. It's just something you know about my writing.

And because things are strained between them, Zoro ends up bonding with Casey. Casey and his older brother meet the crew. They're all on the way to the brothers' home island, and they get along, so they spend the next few days traveling. Zoro and Casey get along well. Really well. When they get to Casey's island, Casey shows Zoro around because that's what I envisioned in my insomniac state so long ago.

Yes, this is a Zosan fic. Yes, Casey and Zoro's blossoming friendship complicates things. That's all I'm going to say.

Anyway.

Casey has an interesting family. He's got two older siblings, two dads, and the woman who was pregnant with him and his siblings. His brother's name is Brayden, his sister is Juno, and his dads are Arden and Castor. Arden's friend Dimitria was their surrogate. The kids call her Auntie Dimi.

Oh, Juno has heterochromia because when I was first developing Casey I originally couldn't decide if I wanted him to have yellow or green eyes. Green eyes would look good on him, but I decided to go with yellow since I think they give him a wild quality. And Casey's a little wild. He's impulsive, hedonistic, more than a little violent, and he likes to fight. It's not unusual for his older brother Brayden to describe him as a devil.

My friend Cas and I have a Modern AU where things work out with Zoro, Sanji, and Casey tho. They're in a relationship because if there's one thing Cas and I love it's OT3s. You'll occasionally see art lol

Also he doesn't make it into the fic, but Casey has a best friend named Mason.

Oh and just because here's art of Casey and the OC you saw earlier today, Maiya. Maiya's not a One Piece OC but she's near and dear to my heart.
