for awhile I had a mirror stored behind my bed and it poked out so you could see yourself a bit. I think it made my dog nervous. he has been back in bed with me more often after I moved it. He also may just feel super itchy because his allergies are back after I ran out of his meds this weekend. Either way we snugglin and I’m not mad about it.

I gave him some Benadryl til I can get the good meds for him. He decided on his own to use the steps I got for him to get in the bed finally and I got all proud mom about it and gave him a shit ton of salmon treats. He looked at me tonight like he wanted to get up in bed with me instead of sleep in his bed, so I said steps? and he actually did it after I held on to them. He’s a good boy. 😭💕 for the past 6 months or so I’ve been picking him up and putting him in bed just so he doesn’t stress his hips more than he should and hopefully they last a little longer as he gets closer to double digits. It’s so nice when you find a thing that works. Now I think I’ll rig up some sort of Velcro situation so they stay in place next to my bed.

I love my dog so much. He is going to sleep with his head on my arm. So v cute. So cuddly.

As usual tumblr ate this post the first time around. Cash got a new bed! And it has been sitting in a box on my snowy porch for a bit so he’s getting treated to the heated blanket too. Also featured are his squeaky dino toy and his blue dragon

my dog is the best and I love him

he’s been waking me up by snuggling up to be little spoon and when my alarm goes off and I reach for it he smooshes his face into mine and snuggles and asks for chest rubs. keep in mind I don’t remember anything until the alarm so he’s putting himself in that little spoon position before my alarm goes off every day, unless he has to pee. in which case he will make soft grunting noises while he lays on my feet
