If “Casket Sharp” gets created and becomes the hit I imagine it should be, one of the things I’d want to do is start a side fund to fulfill GoFundMe’s for funeral expenses.
No prerequisites, no special application. Just people getting help. I just hate the idea of a family struggling to bury someone especially if the death was unexpected/sudden.
it's me again. lol. what's Casket Sharp?
Casket Sharp is a television series I’ve been working on since about 2017.
It follows three adult siblings and their widowed father who run a funeral home in a small, southern town. While managing the business, each sibling is struggling with their own personal lives which sometimes interferes with the work.
Seth is the eldest brother (dream casting is Yahya, of course). He’s married with two children…and a possible. He and his wife are on and off and there’s a slight possibility the new baby isn’t his. He copes by drinking and starting an emotional affair with his daughter’s music teacher. But he’s so cheerful, you’d never know anything was wrong.
Esther is the only daughter and middle child (casting tbd). She’s typically the most level headed out of the three, but her divorce from her high school sweetheart is sending her into a spiral. She’s moved back in with her dad and is realizing she has to start completely over. Every goal she has ever set for herself and her future family has failed. She has completely lost her identity and doesn’t know who she is anymore.
James, who we call Jamie, is the baby (dream casting is Trevante Rhodes). He’s handsome, charming and is often used as the face of the business. After their mother passed in his teens, Jamie had a brief acting out period that made his relationship with his father sticky. He claims he doesn’t believe in love, but in reality he’s afraid of the heartbreak that’s he’s watched his siblings and father go through. So he continues to be promiscuous and noncommittal to his own detriment.
Think ‘Six Feet Under’ meets ‘Atlanta’ but even more Southern and more Black.
Watching a funeral home’s TikToks and taking notes...for research.

Suspect or Nah? Charlamagne Tha God’s First Photo of 2018 Gets Clowned!
Whether you love him or not Charlamagne Tha God is one of the most infamous figures in radio and hip-hop. His stint working for Wendy Williams and as one of the host of The Breakfast Club; as well as his knack for talking smack about everyone in the entertainment industry has made him infamous. If you have not been the butt of one of his jokes or a “Donkey of The Day” you are either very lucky…
