Did you choose sloane or reyes in me:a ? (and have you read the nexus uprising book? I loved it)

I haven’t read any of the mass effect tie-in comics or novels

I sided with Sloane (and tbhhhhhhhh bioware did her dirty in how they framed that choice - and the fandom response to both characters was excessively predictable). At least with Sloane, you know exactly what you’re getting. Reyes? Woof. Nah. No idea. No thank you. I don’t need to find out the hard way.

Casper had been flirting with Reyes pretty hard too bc he’s a big gay disaster. Couldn’t do it. I mean, I did save beforehand and play it out once siding with Reyes just to see what would happen before reloading to side with Sloane and, even already knowing that I wasn’t going to stick with that choice, it did not sit particularly well. Casper just isn’t a “stand aside and not warn someone they’re about to be assassinated” kind of guy. RIP to Reyes but he’s different. 😔

I had to load up a save to check and see what I ended up doing on this quest because I didn’t remember the conclusion, just that I had to walk away from my computer and take a fucking break in the middle of the cutscene. jkdjls;s;

Casper, like, really really really REALLY really wanted to make a good impression on the angara, like the Moshae, and Evfra, and Jaal, and oh also literally everyone else alive. But he did also choose to take the AI back to the Initiative because he thought that leaving her in SAM’s care to try to get information out of her was the best call, as opposed to a more diplomatic option. It did result in a preventable death and Evfra was cranky about it and the only person on his team who thought it was a good call (I checked the dialogue tree) was Jaal. But. Casper’s gay ass may consider it more important to impress Jaal than anyone else, so, y’know. It’s all good!!

Casper romanced Jaal and Liam (they love each other it’s canon) and Polaris is gonna romance Vetra. They like them! They think their twin has very good taste!! Polaris is particularly impressed. I mean, everyone knew Polaris was gonna bag a babe but Cas has done really well for himself damn.
