oh wait oh no. ive just turned tabitha hawke into a roxene shepard type. is what ive done with my da2 rewrite. ive just taken my first hawke and turned her into my first shepard. she even died and came back to life FUCK

have been thinkgn about my shepard again lately. and it is really remarkable how the opening sequence of events for ME3 is just roxene and kaidan being as divorced at each other as it is possible for two people to be, for the entire intro, nonstop. and also vega is there

I love playing characters with intense mom energy I always picture it like something freaky weird happens and everyone's like "ahhh we're confused and scared" and the momquisitor or commomder shepard or whomstever rolls up on their sweet momtercycle and whips off their sunglasses and goes

"hi, confused and scared, I'm mom"

Priority Rannoch!

man I canNOT think about priority: rannoch without remembering how my roommate at the time full-body yeeted themself across the room to power off the XBox when they failed the reputation check and [SPOILERS SPOILERS]. that paragon interrupt is brutal. had to go all the way back to a save halfway thru me2. what a good quest, tho.

xena shepard started out very paragon and slid increasingly paragade/renegade throughout the course of the trilogy as her field of fucks grew barren. she was about a micrometer from losing her shit with the entire quarian admiralty over their unceasing bullshit so like. good thing she was able to talk them down lmao.

how does roxanne's relationship with kaidan, thane and liara work?

Atlas u just asked me to write a fuckin novel :o

So Roxene and Kaidan hook up in ME1 and continue the relationship - fairly discreetly, considering chain of command ookiness - through Roxy’s death in ME2. I have to mentally rewrite most of the stuff with Kaidan in the sequels because god knows nobody cared whether or not he and Ash were in character but it still hits the major beats. Kaidan is distressed he has to process her sudden Cerberus-funded resurrection, Roxy is distressed he’s distressed, things are said, she takes it as a breakup. Starts getting intimate with Thane who, as previously stated, is kind of her brand.

It gets, uh, kind of hilariously awkward in ME3 when her ex and current bf are both chilling long-term in the hospital with nothing to do. They know it, they both know they know it, Roxy visits them both every chance she gets. They’re adults! They can handle this like adults! They hang out some but it’s a little weird.

I’ve mentally rewritten a lot of the bits I hate but I still haven’t quite processed what to do with Thane’s death yet. I think he still dies before the end of the reaper war, just... not how it happens in game. That playthrough of ME3 was romanceless bc it would have been just too much too soon after that.

After everything’s over Roxene shuts down and basically doesn’t leave her apartment for a long time because she’s Tired and Done. Her friends all check in on her but Kaidan and Liara both go the extra mile making sure her kitchen is always stocked with easy food and that she continues to see her therapist. Because they’re both very very busy with their own individual Spectre and Shadow Broker stuff they start coordinating with each other.

After... a while, she rekindles her relationship with Kaidan, and then later confesses to him she has feelings toward Liara. Which Kaidan encourages her to pursue bc he likes Liara, can tell the attraction is mutual, and wants her to be happy. It starts out as them both dating Roxy for a while but turns into all three of them dating each other and entertaining themselves by watching the tabloids try to work out what the hell’s going on there.
