Double Take 1 - YUKA
I just thought it was a very beautiful photo which was like a painting at the first glance, but when I came near it, I finally found that was such an amazing masterpiece. The photograph is taken by Casper Faassen and exhibited by IBASHO Gallery from a series called the “Fleeting Images”. Different from other exhibits, it was shot behind a translucent membrane and was printed with oil paint, color and white on setasand. Those special materials make the work more tridimensional and mysterious with the kimono, flying cherry blossoms and the Japanese woman who tries to touch you. And you can even find the marvelous details like the crack of porcelain if you get closer to the work.
