Bought a '83 G1 pony aaaaaa I love her

She's had a bit of a wash with hand soap since I'm not home, she needs more work but she's adorable I love her... She was more than I would usually spend on a single pony but she's pink + white?? Cutest ever??

She has a paint mark on her neck, sticker residue? I assume? Around so I'll find something to clean that off when I'm home (week and a half away sigh), and I'll wash her properly with shampoo + conditioner so she looks n smells nice. Yay

They had a heap more at the market and I'm going back but they're so expensive 😭 she was too pretty to pass up but I'm not sure if I'll buy many more from there honestly

Fence Striking Distance and Disarmed (plus a couple comics under the plush): I've read the comics up to maybe... 6? Idk the library didn't have more than the first series or smth. And I started the first novel, got a fair bit in, but then my routine changed and I haven't gone back:/ I love the charactersssss I love Aiden 🩷 and I think the ships (developing relationships? Relationship dynamics? Idk) are interesting, particularly Aiden and Kane (it's been a while don't judge me if I'm forgetting names lol) because idk they itch my brain right. The main two too tho!! I love and if I could read them I would!!

The Goldfinch: watched the movie for Finn Wolfhard, admittedly (don't attack me for coming from ST I'm not rlly in the fandom idk man be mature 🫵🤨) and I am not great at reading novels... Ack... Anyway I got through the first chapter, it's very wordy? Not in a bad way but long sentences, it kinda reads like a big poem (positive). Maybe I just haven't read a lot of books... :/ I used to I just struggle now. I would like to read it 😭

Galatia: bought after TSOA... Short story, read it years ago and not for a while, the bit I strongly remember is when he says ≈ 'if you were still stone I'd carve these (the stretch marks from pregnancy) off you' idk man. Interesting. I don't have any big thoughts but that's what stuck after five ish years or smth.

Circe: bought after TSOA. Have not read... Aaaa... No plans to at the moment, because I struggle to relate to female characters sometimes? I need to work on that (and am vaguely trying to) so maybe in the future 🩷

The song of Achilles: okay. Okay. I can't even. Like. Ourgh. No. Okay. Read it around five years ago. Have not been able to reread because I can't put myself through the pain again 😭 I want to and if I wasn't doing school I'd put effort into reading a lot more but unfortunately I don't have the time to make myself :( uh the book broke me and I 100% recommend reading at least once. There are songs I strongly associate with reading this and I will cry if they play... Seriously read this. Like. I think it's necessary. Ourvhhhhhhsdfghggh I'll cry. That's a threat. But like... Don't even get me started I'll just start text-crying

The haunting of William Thorn: look. I crave the feeling Dark Rise gave me. Queer supernatural sorta stuff, very specific, I can't be bothered with the modern stuff yk. I only just bought this one like a week ago and haven't read it, but it looks gorgeous (I love good cover art where I can see the characters and they're pretty) and I'm hoping it's awesome. It does have CWs which I didn't see until AFTER I purchased said book for 2x as much as your average book... But I'm okay with them all I think. Warning is nice tho. I want to read it!! Again, struggle with novels!!

Captive Prince: ourgh. Really should've started with Dark Rise yk. Okay, so, bought because they showed up at local stores, and I am OBSESSED with Dark Rise (and CS Pacat as an extension, I feel they match my freak a bit. Except Captive Prince is a level above me even 😭) okay so now. THIS is the one that needs warnings. I knew it was an adult series (and read it not as an adult 😭 I regret but it's okay...) Look. Okay. It was gorgeous. I think I liked 2 the most, they were friendly and fun and that's what I want really. Angst is epic but I like the fun times. And Laurent is exactly what I like (traumatised blond bottom 🩷 obviously he's more than my little box but simplified this is my type in fiction) and also his trauma gets me good (idk why my brain just does that) (yay angst) and stuff like. Okay it was like over a year since I read them okay. But OURGHHH exactly what I want. The reason I can't bring myself to reread tho is like... A lot of SA... ack... And I'm okay with like. Specific kinds (OKAY WITH CONSUMING IN FICTION) but there was a lot 😭 and it stressed me out a bit tbh. Plus um... Nope not saying his name... :'( ANYWAY. I want to reread them because I love Lamen but right now I can't deal with the other stuff... Maybe someday because I want to but yk ALSO my playlist I had for the whole time while reading these got very associated and WOAH the feelings when I listened to it again a bit after. I recommend set playlists for stuff because it's epic when you get hit with the feelings

Dark Rise: hell yeah here we are. Okay. TOP SERIES EVER. Since I first read it like five years ago (that was when I read reading a lot more) and it's peak ohhhh. Again the traumatised blond bottom... Heh... Okay but. It's good. Both books ended on like big reveals and then Pacat leaves for two years (or more. Pacat where's vol 3 🥺 please I need James back I need him to be okay) anyway. I love them. Pacat is my favourite author, I love how they write, they're the only author I can read atm without giving up (manga excluded because I can finish those in one sitting). And I love their brain yk. Yes give me traumatised queer toxic bl in the 1800s or smth. Peak!!!!!!! I don't want to deal with modern stuff so yesssss Ciel Phantomhive era /j seriously read it. It's YA but still like. Absolute peak. It's not as graphic as CP (while still having themes but my baby self didn't dig into it a lot. Now tho...) and I definitely recommend it over CP (my personal opinion) because it's gorgeous without the stuff that stressed me out in CP (not a judgement on CP, just that I struggled a bit with it) plus it's my baby the whole thing ohhhhh I love them. Please Pacat I love you please give me something about the third book 🩷🩷🩷

Prince of Fortune: bought for the same reason as the haunting of William Thorn really. I am chasing the feeling DR gives me... Haven't read it because I am yeah struggling with novels... :( I want to... Dark Rise is easier to read because I know the characters and most of what happens (autism/gifted kid burnout??? No way... I need a lot of home time but I still need to leave the house ig 🙄🙄 maybe in a year or two idk) anyway yeah. Queer fantasy ish? I can't remember the blurb honestly I bought it a while ago. At least I have a nice little selection once I'm able to read novels again? Honestly I need to actually try but around school I just can't be bothered rn. Plus microdosing my intake because books are so more visceral and I'll get like. Emotional. Ack
