"Sarafina, thank you for seeing me, I know this isn't exactly what you do any more."
The two women embraced, the Companion taking the smuggler by the hand and leading her back. She locked the door, turning to her partner.
"Cassandra. I think of this more of a part of friendship than any occupational obligation. Besides, a Companion chooses her partners."
Sarafina pushed Cass backwards to sit on the edge of the bed, running her fingers along the top of her skirt before allowing it to fall to the floor.
Cass responded in kind, pulling her boots and leggings off. "I know, I know. It's just, the stress of being a Captain on the edge of the black can get to me."
"And being a woman out here has it's own difficulties."
Cass stood, running her fingers through Sarafina's hair. "So true. I just need time to be me and relax."
Sarafina pulled her shirt off her partner's shoulders, letting the fabric slip. She gave a slight smirk.
"Matching underwear? What have I done to deserve such effort?"
Cass pressed her lips forward, revelling the softness of the Companion. "Shut up."
