The Hunter vs The Arisen (Monster Hunter vs Dragon's Dogma)
Heroic medieval protagonists of beloved high fantasy JRPG series created by Capcom, representing the sum of multiple warriors that have fought across countless generations and being specialized in doing battle with and bringing down colossal beasts. Starting out as mere town folk and nobodies, they would take up arms once opportunity had revealed itself in order to defend humanity from monsters, assisted in battle by loyal companions, crafting their massive arsenals from their fallen foes and relying on both sheer might and cunning strategy to win the day.

Dragon’s Dogma. I just gave 92 skulls to Pike in Cassardis, hoping to raise his affinity a lot. Dude still doesn’t have max affinity for me. Dude loses affinity faster than I can raise it. I swear Pike is glitched. Heraldo and Valmiro still are in the highest state of affinity and I give them like one of their liked items every so often. I JUST BURIED PIKE IN SKULLS AND HE STILL DOES NOT MAX LOVE ME.
