Cassian Thanksgiving Headcanon
He would fry the turkey.
That is all. I firmly believe he is able to cook it many ways, including fancy styles, but I can't help but think that, if able, he would absolutely be the type to fry the turkey.
The first time he tries to do it for the family, he follows the safety guidelines about doing it as far away from the house as possible, but still he is a bit lackadaisical about it. And it bites him in the ass, the turkey essentially exploding and setting on fire. Naturally, Az purchased a spare to be cooked in the oven...while the firefighters put the fire out.
The next year, Cassian is determined. He reads article after article, goes to the fire station to speak to them and ask them what went wrong and all the ways he can avoid it and do it right. He succeeds, and swears his life changed that day. Now he will never not fry the turkey for Thanksgiving. It is the only way to cook a turkey. The rest of his family appeases him, because none of them really had a preference either way, and none of them want to cook the turkey anyways.
Sharing this now, right before I post a fic going against this headcanon. But it's okay, he lives in an area where he wouldn't have the space to fry a turkey, so that's totally why. Definitely not because I thought about this after the fact. 👀
