Request: Anonymous asked: Okay this is such a weird idea, but what if the reader is the kin of one of the Jedi and is literally kept under guard constantly by the Rebellion and one day she has enough and jumps on Cassian's ship when they are on the Jedha mission with Jyn and K2 and gets out and ends up saving Cassian's life, but he obviously knows who she is and what the Empire would do with her and they get into an argument but he lets her stay and they kinda fall for each other and he kisses her on the beach? Thank!

It was very silent, Y/N stood still on her room closing her eyes trying to concentrate on what was happening outside. She had heard a couple of loud explosions a few minutes ago, Y/N had asked what was happening outside but none of the guards told her anything. “Cassian” a smile formed on her face, her eyes opened and look over the door. They were no shadows, so that meant that the men were away.
She ran to her bed and kneeled patting the floor until her fingers grazed a wooden box. Y/N sat on the bed with the wooden box on her lap, slowly she opened it. A lightsaber was there, her fingers grazed the metal and she sighed. “I am sorry, father” she took the lightsaber and closed the box. “You should’ve done the same” Y/N whispered standing up.
Slowly she opened the wooden door and looked to both sides of the long stone corridor, Y/N shivered she was hidden underground in Jedha. She took a deep breath and tried to concentrate to where the guards had gone. A few moments with her father had taught her how to use the force but not enough to control it.
Y/N came out the secret entrance and saw Cassian’s U-Wing a few meters away. A sly smile appeared on her face, she couldn’t sense anyone on the ship. K2 probably was there too, but it could be easily trick. She touched her lightsaber tucked on her hip and walked to the U-Wing.
She frowned when there was no one aboard. “That’s strange” Y/N said aloud scratching her head, she noticed a sand colored bag by her feet. She kneeled and pick up the bag. “A woman” she frowned and threw the bag outside the ship.
“What a great welcoming!”
Y/N turned around too fast that she fell down on her bum. “Hey!”
“I was under the impression that you were under protection” K2 said entering the ship. “Why are you here? You’re not authorized to be here” it said walking towards the computer of the ship.
“What? Me? I can do what I want. I am a Jedi─”
“Cassian says otherwise” K2 said glancing at Y/N. She frowned and said nothing. “If you would be so kind to step out or I throw you out”
“As if” Y/N scoffed but gasped when she felt a tug on the collar of her shirt. “Put me down, you piece of metal” Y/N shouted trying to reach K2’s robotic hand but it was too high. She rolled her eyes consequently she closed them tightly. Just like her father taught her, she let out a deep breath. “You should put me down”
“Your Jedi tricks don’t work with me”
Y/N fell for consecutive time on her bum. “K2!”
“You told me to put you down” Y/N stomped her foot on the floor and glared at K2. “Patience young Jedi”
“Don’t tell me what to do, you piece of metal” Y/N growled and sat on one of the seats available on the ship. “Who is this woman, anyway?”
“I know that just forge─”
“One of your Jedi tricks?” K2 asked looking at Y/N. She shook her head slowly.
From the front of the U-Wing a big beam of light appeared from the sky. “Where is Cassian?”
“We don’t have time, just followed my directions we’ll get to him” Y/N said nodding her head. “I can do this” she clapped her hands and K2 ignored her.
“Just pilot, you piece of junk!” K2 took a sharp turn and walked into the pilot’s seat. “It worked!” she applauded and ran to the co-pilot seat. “Now turn it on and I will guide you” Y/N said closing her eyes.
“Here go down, just to the ground” Y/N could see five people running towards the U-Wing. She ran to the entrance and opened the door. “Hi” she waved her hand four pairs of eyes looked at her with surprise the other glared at her.
Cassian hadn’t said anything on their way back to Yavin 4. He just scowled at her and pursed his lips. Looking back to glare at Y/N. “You’re one of them” Y/N turned her attention back to the blind man. “You’re a Jedi, I can feel it”
“I am no Jedi” Y/N said looking down at the floor. “I was never one”
Finally the U-Wing landed on the open hangar and everyone walked out except for Y/N. “I’ll wait here until you take me to my next prison” she said sarcastically forcing a smile. “Why don’t you just leave me on a deserted planet, that’ll be great” with that she turned around and mumbled on her breath crossing her arms across her chest.
“Y/N, I─ we have to protect you, look at what happen to your father when they knew he survived” Y/N bit her lip and said nothing. “He gave your life to protect you”
“Well I should have died with him too!” Y/N shouted angrily, opening and closing her fists. “You think this is living? Hiding like a criminal, no Cassian; this is not living” she felt a strange sensation, a strong rage building at the pit of her stomach. “Just leave me alone, all of you. Forget I even exist” all the black boxed started to levitate, Y/N growled and pushed Cassian out of the way. “I don’t care about your Resistance!”
Y/N sat by the lake trying to take deep breaths, but it was not working. She still felt that rage, shout and destroy echoed at the back of her head. “What are you doing here, Cassian?”
“I came to check on you” Cassian declared softly. “You can stay here, if that’s what you wish. I am sure you’re capable of taking care of yourself”
Y/N glanced at him over her shoulder. “We are not six anymore, Cassian”
“I know” He took a seat beside her and look at the dark sky above them. “I promised your father, I’ll protect you with my life if I had to” Cassian stared at the ground, his foot played with the dirt.
“We were children, Cassian. I always thought you were a knight” Y/N said putting her hands on the log accidentally brushing one of his hands. She blushed and quickly put it on her lap. Y/N cleared her throat and continue. “You’re my only friend, Cassian”
“I know” Cassian said glancing at her.
“You’re hiding something, what is it?” Y/N asked looking at him. Something told her it was very important from the way all his demeanor changed. From the confident Cassian to the nervous child. “I can make you say it, with my Jedi tri─”
Scarif… that was the planet where they had taken her father. In order to be executed, accused of high treason by the Empire. “What? You can’t go” she stood up from the log. “Are you insane, Cassian? You can’t go there, it’s a suicide mission. Wait, it’s her isn’t it? Oh yes, her” she paced in front of him shaking her head in disbelief.
“This isn’t about her, Y/N” Cassian stood up from the log and glared at her. “What makes you think─”
“I am doing this for you and only you”
With that Cassian turned around and furiously walked away. Y/N stood motionless opening and closing her mouth gaping like a fish out of the water.
Y/N hissed putting a hand over the wound below her ribs. “Y/N!” she turned around to see Cassian holding to Jyn. “I told you to stay behind” Jyn smiled at Y/N. Y/N waved at her and grimaced as she walked towards them.
“I never listen to you, Cassian” Y/N said with a small smile. “You already know that”
“I am going to check on the others” Jyn said walking away to the ocean in front of them.
“I never had been to the beach in my entire life, it’s beautiful”
“But not as beautiful as you”
Y/N blushed she wanted to laugh, but grimaced. “It hurts” she laughed as the pain subsided holding her side. “How can you be so serious, Cassian?”
They turned around as a loud bang was heard. An identical beam of light appeared in the sky just like in Jedha. Y/N’s eyes widen in fear looking at the sky. There was no time to run to the X-Wing she had borrowed and escape. She looked down where Cassian had taken her hand in his. “I am sorry”
“It was not your fault, you just tried to protect me. Just like you promised my father” Y/N shyly glanced at him. “Thank you” she said as tears started to run down her cheeks. “For everything you had done for me”
“I did it because you’re worth it” Cassian said rubbing her cheeks with his thumbs trying to clean the tears away. “I always love you”
“I know” Y/N said slyly and grimaced as the sound of ferocious waves were heard. “Jedi powers” she blushed as Cassian smiled at her. It was so rare and beautiful, a smile only reserved for her. “Can I ask you something? This is the last thing I ask of you”
Cassian nodded, the time was ticking. “Just a kiss”
He nodded, Y/N smiled as he bent down. Their lips connected she let out a sigh as his lips move with synch with hers. “I love you” Cassian said looking into her eyes with a wide smile.
