thinking abt the fact that norah had a big convo with her dad abt control and how she feels like she has no control, abt how he comforts her and tells her she can still take hold of her own life, only to immediately have that stripped away. to be forced to go into something so Terrifying entirely blind, being forced to stop struggling, to give up entirely or she'll die. being forced to give up a key characteristic (her posture and put-together-ness) or else she'll be killed. and for that to be contrasted with her taking that choice away from another living being. except it not struggling wasnt enough to save it. even when she had no real choice in if she did it or not. contrasting how she was stripped of her own agency with her being coerced into stripping something else of its own agency.
