i feel like we don't talk enough about both of the times heroes plays in st.
it plays when will is found 'dead' in s1 and when the byers move at the end of s3. the line 'and the guns, shot above our heads' played over mike mourning & a shot of joyce looking at the empty house. they're both mourning in these shots, mike mourning will and joyce mourning their life in hawkins & hopper. it only adds to the romantic implications of the first scene by making it a byler/jopper parallel.
interestingly enough, the line 'we kissed as though nothing could fall' is cut from the s3 shot and only plays over mike.
