I've been really enamoured by vintage paper moon portraits. They were a common photo oppurtunity you could find at fairs and carnivals for friends and couples, using a large cutout of a crescent moon as a set. Paper moon portraits were popular from the Victorian period up until the 1940s!
Because friends could also get photos taken I wonder how many queer couples in the past took this oppurtunity to commemorate a date at the amusement park with a paper moon postcard.
