So Loud x So Shy
Welcome to the Quiff Corner™️!
I am an aroace spec digital/ traditional artist and writer, and long time fan of The Adventures of Tintin
As of right now, my blog is mostly Tinchang centric but that might fluctuate depending on how obsessed I am with them lol
I encourage the sharing of headcannons and appreciate suggestions, questions and feedback
Please be kind and respectful to all users especially about headcannons and ships (please DO NOT SEXUALIZE the characters here, it’s uncomfortable) ((personally, I don’t ship the Captain and Tintin and see them as a father and son type dynamic))
Feel free to leave me some feedback, suggestions or questions about, but not limited to, Tintin related content!
Please refer to me as my online artist name, Hazel! I use they/them pronouns :)
Personal headcannons:
Tintin: I see Tintin in his late teens (around 14 in Soviets and 19 ish in Alpha-Art.) I headcannon him as gay, transmasc, and asexual + demiromantic (demiaroace kinda?)
Chang: I see him as a year or so younger than Tintin. I headcannon him as bi and demisexual
Cap. Haddock: I see the captain as being in his mid 50s. I headcannon him as bi, and in a relationship with Ramo Nash from Alpha Art who is gay. Also I see him and the professor either having a short-term relationship or an off and on situationship
Prof. Calculus: I see him in his late 50s-early 60s. I headcannon him as bi and asexual since I see him have being interested in both Bianca and Prof. Terragon (and also the captain) but being too scattered and preoccupied to initiate anything
(More to come, probably)
Also, Free Palestine!!!!
I've been really enamoured by vintage paper moon portraits. They were a common photo oppurtunity you could find at fairs and carnivals for friends and couples, using a large cutout of a crescent moon as a set. Paper moon portraits were popular from the Victorian period up until the 1940s!
Because friends could also get photos taken I wonder how many queer couples in the past took this oppurtunity to commemorate a date at the amusement park with a paper moon postcard.
Tintin Tarot, part 2 - the Fool's Journey Continues. Part 1 can be found here! Me and @josephscoat came up with a list of Tintin characters assigned to the major arcana cards in a tarot deck after she realised how well Tintin mapped onto the Fool.
A knockout! You guys have voted for me to draw and post the entirety of the House of Glass, so here's the next part that follows directly from this.
If you're enjoying this comic, please consider donating to Amira, a 23 year old who was displaced and forced to flee to the southern part of Gaza. Her home, university and workplace has been destroyed, and she's the only source of income for her family since her father passed away. You can read her tumblr @amira-world!
The penultimate part of my story, The House of Glass. Tintin's investigation hits a wall. Follows directly from this!
If you're enjoying this comic, please consider donating to Eyad, he is a father of four trying to evacuate his family from the Gaza strip. His wife Amal, and their kids, Sami (11), Mohammad (9), Sarah (7) and Saad (5) are currently in a displacement school in the Zaytoun area. Eyad has been separated from his family, and is currently living in a tent in the Dier al-Balah area.

Castafiore delivers an earth-shattering performance! Update to my story, the House of Glass! Follows directly from this. Drawing this part was intense - crowd shots, buildings, cars, guns - all things I'm not fond of drawing, but hopefully this was worth it!
If you're enjoying this comic, please consider donating to Youssef Helles. He moved to Belgium in 2019 and is trying to get his wife and five children to Egypt after his family was forced to flee on foot to Southern Gaza, then again to Rafah, where they are currently living in a tent.
