A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) - A performance so good I actually feel physically sick when watching him as Stanley. I totally understand he didn't want people associating him with the role or thirsting after him for it :/

I just realized none of these Brando films are an easy watch for me, but I still love them 😅

Thank you. It’s been a couple of shitty weeks, but I’m hanging in there!

I highly recommend Flee (a harrowing tale of a refugee, beautifully told through animation), Marty (about giving up on finding love, only to finally happen when you do), and Tapeheads (a 80s cult classic that has a song about chicken and waffles that will refuse to leave your brain once you hear it). And, I would add The Birdcage, but I’m sure you’re very familiar with that one! I’m obsessed.

Hi, for the horror ask: child's play, psycho and the purge

Hi!

child's play: thoughts on dolls? do you collect anything?

I played with Barbies with my sister growing up (she loved them), but there's something I always found off-putting about porcelain dolls. My mom collected them and she's put most of them away, but the only one still out is this child-size doll that looks identical to my sister. Eerily enough, a dude that came in the winter to fix the thermostat told me that that doll looked like me! It confirmed a suspicion of mine, let's just say, lol.

I don't really collect anything, but I have got into a habit of buying limited edition LPs and vinyl boxsets. I would love to say that is what I collect, but it's not consistent enough, yet.

psycho: do you enjoy staying at hotels? any weird stories?

I actually like staying in hotels. There have been periods where I've had to stay in hotels while moving to new cities or visiting families, so it's familiar. I don't have any weird stories, but I did stay in a hotel in the Netherlands that made me not want to use the bathroom because it had poor lighting and the bricks were hot pink colored. It was nasty, and that place looked nothing like it was advertised. The morning of our flight, I never ran out of a place as quickly as I did!

the purge: if all crime were legal for one night, what would you do?

Hmm. I guess I would torture or punish someone. There are a couple of people I would like to get my revenge on, and I want to get away with it.

If it’s a romantic relationship, I sadly don’t have one. I’ve been too depressed, indoors, and spent a lot of time recovering from personal trauma to ever get involved with someone that way. I’m up to starting a relationship story now, though, lols.
