The next installment is currently in progress, and hopefully will appear soon.  My current goal is to get it done sometime in the summer, since this is an insanely busy time of year for me, but I’m really glad you’re looking forward to it!

Hello! Sorry if this might be out of the blue, but I come from ffnet and am asking after your wonderful fic - Les Rêves des Amoureux Sont Comme le Bon Vin. This is one of my favorite works to read, and while I know DGM seems like a thing of the past and that you must be very busy, I was wondering if you have any plans to complete this story in the near future? You write Kanda and Lavi so well - I would love to read more of them from you c: And I hope you have a wonderful day!

ohhhh my god wow thank you for still reading that!! holy shit that’s way back 2010 my dude!! but yeah there are reasons why I couldn’t update it. first is ive already written the whole thing until the end, but the doc file has been deleted when my internal hard drive died on me, and i just lost all the appetite to write it again (i wish google docs was a thing back then lol) two, i was still in culinary school when i wrote it so i was hella inspired to write about food. I don’t know it’d be nice to finish it now that I’m back writing, but I can’t promise anything!! I might rewrite the whole thing because i think i write a bit better now ahaha but again I can’t promise anything ;;o;; thank you tho!!

mm laviyuu might have a smaller following than the more popular pairings but I love them forever anyway so idc (they're just so good together augh) the review might be a while coming since I'm busy irl but one day c: also speaking of google docs on my dash just popped up something about a post to AO3 from docs under the AO3 FAQ if you're interested. lmk if you ever start writing for laviyuu again, cuz I for one am definitely interested reading it ;)

omigod I'm so sorry to hear that happened! docs is the wish of all writers in past ): I understand that disheartening feeling and I'd be elated if you finished it, but I get it if you choose not to. If you do end up rewriting, I hope you don't delete the original - I have plans to leave a lengthy review on my favorite reads (which I should have done in the past) as well as use it as motivation for finishing my old dgm fic on hiatus (there are so few good laviyuu fics) Glad you're doing well tho!

Yeah the manhua is very well drawn and faithful but it starts cutting out a lot of important information, so I always recc the novel as better for the whole context, with the manhua to be read as a visual extra to the novel
