Caster The Corporate Cat

This is a foam latex hand puppet I'm creating and intended to be completed in April 2012. The design is based on concept I've explored in different projects (I like cats in suits).

For Caster, I used a core for the head (as a guide for hand size), aluminum armature for the hands (the arms will not have a wire armature, but rather wooden dowel held by strings). I sculpted over with modelling clay (I used WED clay). I molded the sculpts as a 2 part  (and cored) gypsum cement (Ultracal) molds. I cast it out foam latex (head and arms).

I painted a grey and pink base (I used Pax) and flocked the surface to emulate a fuzzy fur-like skin. I sculpted te teath and claws with apoxie sculpt which I painted with acrylic afterwards. The eyes where pre-made teddy bear eyes which I cut and glued from the inside of the puppet's head.
