I work at a top 10 store and we don't really have cast of photo shoots anymore. They take our individual picture every now and then, and on premiere day our GM takes a small group photo of about three or four of us on his phone and sends it to our DM. We still go to the local castings when they hold them though :) I don't know if it's different for other stores, but hopefully this helps!

Oh interesting! I’ve never been cast of and its not really a big thing at my store (at least that i know of) so that is one subject that i have limited knowledge on. But thanks for the info!

Can Hollister Outlet have cast offs and allowed to attend casting calls?

Im actually not sure about that. I kind of doubt that outlet stores have cast of since they wouldn’t even carry the new stuff.. but i could be wrong! And  as far as i know there isn’t “casting calls” its just if your district manager likes your picture you could be considered. but again, i could be wrong.

edit: I just read on another blog that we don't do cast of anymore? Can't confirm this but I just thought i'd add.

this might be an extremely dumb question but what exactly is cast of? i hear people talk about it every once in a while but i never get the chance to ask them about it. i think i have a vague idea of what it is but i'm not sure. and how do you are cast of?

it’s basically just people who take pictures for every change of season (winter, spring, summer, BTS) and they best represent the company. they’re chosen by the RM or DM I think. your store manager will take pictures of you if you’re considered (sometimes multiple ones) and then they go to the managers to get approved. that’s how you know

I've been working as a Model at Hollister for about 4 months now. I work at a GM store, not sure if that matters with my question or anything. When I was first started back in August, at orientation my SM took my picture in my AAA's. Then this past week (in December), my GM pulled me aside while at work. had me put on a different shirt and took my picture again. Why did they need my pictures again? Do they just do that with all employees every season?

it means that they’re considering you for cast of but they have to send them to the DM and have them approved and so on. It just means that the managers think you could be a potential cast of

Spent my afternoon reading my new book while eating at chipotle. Found out I was picked for "cast-of" at Hollister, whatever that means. I also let a homeless person talk on my phone for like an hour earlier at dunkin donuts. Today has been weird.
