I'm an 18 year old girl who has been employed by the Abercrombie & Fitch company for over a year. I am currently a model at Abercrombie & Fitch, and I'm here to give you helpful tips and advice, and answer any questions you might have about working at for the company. Is it okay to wear natural waist shorts with a flowy navy t-shirt to a "meeting?" (Because for some strange reason the computer wont let me apply online so they asked me to come in so they can "meet me.")

so coming back from college, i have no clue what the style guide is and they couldnt find it in the shop i work at. are the drapey harem-styled pants in the triple a's and are acceptable for work? i bought them with no straight answer from my manager.

Your manager should really know and someone should really find the guide. What do they do with new hires??

I couldn't tell you, but if yu bought them hold on to the receipt in case your manager changes their mind. I would say your safest bet would be high waisted or natural waist shorts above all else. The harem pants sound fine though

Hey, is it possible for me to apply as a sales associate for an A&F store located in a foreign country for summer. Let's say I've chosen the one in Paris since I would be staying there for a few months, is there a chance I could get accepted? Or I really should be a resident in France to do so? Thank you :)

I don't see why not! But i'm not sure -- I've never worked at an A&F or Hollister outside of the US

You know how u said go to specify to change your availability's well what does temporary and permanent means? If I didn't want to work that day do I put temp / none / + ? Am I right please help me I'm new to anf

Temporary means only for that week, and permanent means from that week onward. If there's a day you can't work, put in 'temporary' then 'none'. Make sure to do it two weeks beforehand!

How do you change your availability to be "Not available" on the myanfcorp website?

go to specify, and then for ACR type select "none"

From there how do I go about changing my availability... the site is confusing me. ahaha.

Go to my.anfcorp.com, once you sign in click home. then go to my time & attendance -> my availability, and then choose the week ahead and go down to the bottom. click the "+" button, choose to the date from the calendar and put in your hours. make sure it's military time and make sure to save!

How do we get the employee discount online?

you can't. you need to buy the clothes online, then return them in the store and rebuy them to get your discount

I was scheduled to work at 9 (got there on time) I had to wait outside the store for almost an hour for one of the managers to get there and he put me on Sunday cleaning and he told me when I was done come see him so I could learn how to do plant cleaning, so I finished it all and I went to the stock room and he was asleep on the floor there. Who do I report an issue like this to? This manager is a complete jerk to me and other employees and after Sunday I feel like i need to let the store know.

You need to call the one number. They deal with employee issues and that definitely sounds like something to be reported about. Next time your DM comes in, if you're feeling ballsy enough, I would talk to them. I know someone who talked to a DM about managers goofing off and they got fired.

Do i use the number on my employee card as my user id?

I desperately need to change my hours and I don't know what to do. Please help :[

Is this temporary or permanent? If it is temporary, call your store and tell your manager that you need to change your hours for whatever day, for whatever reason (wedding, funeral, etc.) and the reason must be legitimate. if it is permanent, go on my.anfcorp and change your hours there, and if you need to, get shifts covered for this week. know that you should always make changes in your schedule 2 weeks in advance.

How long does it take to get transfered

not long at all! you just need to clear it with your manager, and the manager of the store you're transferring into. once that works, your new manager will just add your number into the system and you're good to go!

So i recently got hired at Hollister, and i went in to fill in applications and stuff. Then the manager told me that shell call me for my shift. But I HAVE NO IDEA what to do when i get there. Clock in... then what?.. what should i wear? she didnt even explain AAA to me or anything.:/

ugh I'm sorry ):

if you can, go in before your first shift. when you go in, go the cash wrap and ask if you can see the new triple A guide and browse through it. I'd suggest jeans/shorts and a few tops. We get 10 this season so splurge a little. You'll wear that for your first shift. When you go in, swipe your card at a register and then hit punch in, then shift in. Once you clock in, put your stuff away and ask someone where the floor manager is (if you're a model) or the impact manager (if you're impact). Introduce yourself, then explain it's your first day and you're wondering where they want you. You'll most likely be put in Betty's 1, so you'll just be learning to fold and whatnot. good luck!

You have to tell your manager and let them know you would like to transfer. Chances are they will have to approve it, as will the manager that works at the Abercrombie
