What sort of winter antics does rose rodgers get up to?

when she’d first come out of the ice (in that apparently traditional rogers fashion), winter hadn’t been the best of times. not only did it trigger things within her to force her to withdraw from her friends as they enjoyed the snow and winter festivities, but it also made her feel like a hollow version of herself.

in the present day, however?

there’s almost regret within the guardvengers (and their avenging parents) at times. namely during snowball fights: the daughter of captain america doesn’t exactly take them seriously, but she sure aims like she does. not to mention the fact that snowball fights with ANYONE above cap’s strength level usually results in injury, or at least a shit ton of snow in one’s suit. 

aside from the snow-fights that usually end in a minor form of bloodshed, miss rogers has warmed up very well to winter times. specifically in the northeast- between new york, philadelphia, brooklyn, and wherever else she finds herself in these areas, it always feels like home. christmas is not winter but it does happen within the chilly boundaries of the season; she often makes use of her saved-with-interest funds stored from as early as 1946 when her mother first learned she was pregnant, all just to get gifts for her friends and family. on top of that, she commits to community service as well as working her retail job in nyc whenever they need her. 

she really has come to appreciate the festivities of the season, seeing as she never quite had the time to participate in them as she was growing up. of course mum would have the christmas tree and they’d go to macy’s whenever they were in nyc to see the stunning window displays, but that was as far as their strict, professional life had allowed. now, she spends it with her team and with her family- most often with her father, in his new home in brooklyn. of course, he shares it with sam, but rose doesn’t mind the extra company.

she’s definitely come to appreciate the season more since she’s grown in the modern era, and while autumn is still her favorite season, winter is just as nice and as beautiful. (her favorite thing about winter? getting steve to take her on a sleigh ride in valley forge.)

What are some of the ways Nyssa would try to impress Kestrel before they were dating??

nyssa is hopeless when it comes to genuine flirting so its mostly just.... showing off at first. lifting the heaviest objects she can, demonstrating her impeccable swordsmanship, giving quips of valuable information she’s pretty sure is true. but eventually she kinda just. does the average cheesy stuff and starts getting kestrel her fave flowers and getting stuff for her even tho nyssa knows kestrel can get things on her own. she also goes out of her way to protect and help kestrel even though, again, she knows damn well kes can handle herself just fine. she doesn’t- or tries not to- go overboard and baby kes because she’s not here for treating kes like that

she’s. overall a mess and probably starts crying when she attempts to tell kes how she feels

Not to give unsolicited advice, but in most states, if your case is denied APPEAL IT instead of reapplying. If you get backpayments they will be to your application date, and if you reapply that date resets. I didn't know this until recently, and I wanted to share in case you didn't either.
