Just a kitten in their Cat Castle ♡
Made a little cat castle for our kitty, Midnight Rose. It took lots of tape but I think she likes it ❤️
Cat Castle: The Bosses!!
+ Noisette and Snotty...
How to build a castle for your cat
Materials needed: Two sturdy boxes (one large enough for your cats to stand in and tough enough for your cat to sit on), packing tape, black marker, scissors/box cutter, glue gun. If your boxes are not thick and sturdy, use two boxes and cut one up to reinforce the first. Do this for both both main boxes.
Optional: a chopstick, some extra paper to draw on, a cat toy on a string
1. The larger box will be the base. Draw a large archway that goes all the way to the bottom of the box. Make sure your cat can fit through it. Cut out all sides of the archway except for the bottom edge. This will be your drawbridge.
2. Draw and cut out windows along the other sides.
3. Tape the top of the large box shut.
5. Cut the other box in half. Draw and cut out the merlon pattern along the top of this box.
6. Place this box on top of the larger box. You can either glue it in place, or if the boxes are the same length and width, wrap tape around the boxes at the seam to secure them.
At this point, you can cut out bricks and stones from other piece of cupboard. You can also attack a stick or chopstick to the top and attach a flag or your cat’s toy on a string.
My girl Sherlock is a teenager and it’s about time she has her own room.
I’m decorating accordingly. It’s drying out now, but I’m adding a giant pillow for her in there and a crinkly cat matt.
(It will be mounted on that giant base which is a concealed litter box area I still have to decorate)
I shall update with final results!
It is named #CorneliaStreet
