Four dancing kittens and a German Shepherd named Greta lived in a house. The kittens were always spinning and jumping, while Greta lay by the door guarding them.

One day, the kittens got so carried away with their dancing that they didn't notice the window swing open. Whiskers, backing up in a pirouette, tumbled off the windowsill and fell!

Greta bolted faster than the wind. A second later, she stood beneath the window, and on her broad back, clinging to her fur, trembled the rescued Whiskers.

That evening, the kittens performed their quietest, smoothest dance for Greta — a dance of gratitude. And Greta lay there, feeling as if she wasn't just guarding kittens, but four little, warm stars.
