Strawberry Vampire Episode 2 is complete! AVAILABLE NOW ON YOUTUBE! 🍓🦇
Hi everyone! Thanks to the community for successfully funding the Kickstarter, Emily and here team were able to complete Episode 2: "Bat Franny"!
Watch it below on YouTube! If you like it, leave a like and comment to show your support, and share it with others! 💕🥰
Personally, I enjoy the plot in this episode even better compared to Episode 1 (which I still really like)! We get to see another layer of Franny's struggle: she experiences her first transformation into "bat form"! And while it is super adorable, Franny herself is horrified and tries to control it / hide it from the school to avoid being different.
The Kickstarter finished on April 20th, and the episode was released a couple days ago (mid-August). The reason why they were able to turn around this episode so quickly is because this is technically an animatic. In case you don't know, that means the episode is not fully animated but rather has storyboard frames instead. Less frames to draw = faster release time!
This isn't the typical storyboarding you might be thinking of. There are many frames changes (sometimes every second) across each scene to show every little movement and facial expression. The timing of the frames feel so natural, it almost makes you forget that you're watching something that isn't fully animated.
Additionally, this episode has fully finished voice acting, sound effects, and music like Episode 1! The song that Franny sings, "Different" is very sweet and heartfelt. I think Emily and her team did a fantastic job on delivering a quality viewing experience!
Okay, gushing is over! If you've read through all this, thank you for reading. Hope you enjoy watching the new episode! To sign off, here are some frames from the new episode below. 😊
Izutsumi loaf was animated!
“ goodbye “
I love THIS EPISODE and I cried SO HARD
:333
This is probably my favorite episode of season 4 so far
My deranged thoughts on the new Sanders Sides episode because omg
I'm so thrilled that we got to see the younger sides, they're legit so cute. I love their old names, Left and Right Brain for Logan and Patton was such a cute idea, and Vision as Roman's old name is just everything to me. Also Virgil before he was fully realized, my heart he is so adorable sitting in his little corner. (I need to know his old name soooo badly)
Janus impersonating Patton holy shit, he's so ashamed of himself, him not wanted to admit how much he's done it. Also I'm so said we didn't get to see younger Janus, I need to see younger Janus.
Them convincing Logan to help by baiting him with Docter Who, just to reveal they're all fans, even Roman who is falling over himself in the beginning trying to deny they he cares. They're all such nerds I love them
Logan's very pessimistic take on love is very much giving aroace, which I totally vibe with, but I think that Logan is much more desperate for love than he wants to let on and so he's shutting down any prospect of it so that he doesn't have to confront his feelings. He has issues and I love him for that.
Remus vividly describing how much C!Thomas wants to fuck Nico was not on my bingo card, but hey I will take it. Also finally a series that says "Ofc the main is physically into the love interest, why wouldn't they be", like you would be shocked how little queer ships actually discuss physical attraction between partners.
It being revealed that it was Janus who wanted C!Thomas to stay in the closet and not Patton was so unexpected but it makes so much sense. Ofc Janus, the liar and disguiser, is willing to lie about his true self if he thinks it'll be safer.
Anyways I've been losing my shit for the past several hours and I will be back to yap everyone's ears off.
