Have some more Cat! (Yes I already used this picture in an ask, yes I am going to continue to use it until I've run this save more and gotten more screenshots of My Sweet Baby Girl.)
She's actually slightly taller than even the orc build allows for. Assuming that the tall bodies (orcs, dragonborn, Body Type 2) are like 6'-6'5"ish, Cat's 6'8. She's also not nearly so... dried-out-looking. More weightlifter beefy than dehydrated bodybuilder. And while she's usually rocking a mohawk or and undercut, she's got curly hair. Thankfully with the magic mirror update, she'll at least be able to do her usual "actually I wanna do this color now" thing of matching her hair to her lipstick, although there's still not quite a strong enough eye makeup that's basically just "grabbed a handful of ashes from the cold campfire and rubbed her eyes like she just woke up." She's also a lot more heavily scarred than the character creator allows for, and her nose looks like it's been broken more than once. (For good reason, she snores like you wouldn't believe because of it.) And as mentioned in another ask, she's trans. Slightly broader shoulders, slightly narrower hips, more body hair than the fem frame allows for, but less than the masc one, although that's more of a Let More Women In Fantasy Settings Have Body hair thing than anything else. And nothing resembling bottom surgery. (Also mentioned in a previous ask, her folks are very talented alchemists, these things are not unrelated.)
9) Do you have a favorite member of the Tiefling Refugees? Is it the same as your Character's?
My own personal favorites are Rolan, Cal, and Lia, with Rolan pulling slightly ahead after what I've seen in the later acts. Zevlor's also a strong contender now.
Cat doesn't have a favorite, really. She's got a lot of love to give and very stubbornly sees the best in everyone. Hold her at knifepoint for a solid answer, and after a lot of "um"ing, she'd prooooobably say Alfira.
31) Does your Character have new or old phobias or superstitions that affect their story?
I hadn't realized I got this one in two different asks.
You KNOW i'm here to ask about Cat 📝👀 🥵🧠👀👂😍💘🦴💞🔥💐
You've really got the brainrot, huh? Honestly, same.
Anyways! Let's get these answered, under a cut cause it's gonna be beefy. And if anyone wants to ask more, here's the questions!
Hello, dear! You've been visited by the random character question fairy! :D ~☆
What does your character want people to know about themselves? What do they hide from other people? Why?
Taking another spin on the OC Wheel and we got Cat Noble! She’s one of my universe jumpers, so I’m just arbitrarily gonna pick the DnDQ game she’s in.
She wants people to know that they can rely on her, even if she’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, she’s loyal and will always stick up for her friends. She’s a fighter, and even if her time in the arena wasn’t always the best, fighting and being a gladiator is what she’s good at and happy doing. Usually.
Cat hides (kind of, really more just doesn’t bring it up and skims over it when it does come up) the specifics of what she considers The Bad Fights when she was the arena champion in Barrenack. Championship fights were to the death and it took her enough time to get to champion, she was friends with pretty much everyone who challenged her. Murdering your friends to make sure the guy in charge of the city didn’t just unleash his monster menagerie on civilians for his entertainment is a tough corner to be backed into. Sure, they had resurrection magic on hand to bring folks back and it even worked on most of them, but you can’t un-ring a bell. It’s a part of her life she doesn’t like to dwell on, especially now that the bastard responsible is dead. The chapter’s closed, everything’s fine, and she’s determined to ignore it as hard as she can.
For Cat: What's your favorite instrument to listen to? Do you prefer upbeat songs, slow and relaxing... or even dirges?
Whassa dirge? Wait, isn’t that funeral music? Uh, no thanks, I’m not... No reminders of funerals, please.
I don’t think I have a favorite instrument to listen to, and even if I did, I probably wouldn’t know the name. There’s a lot of ways to make music, yanno? I do like sea shanties, though. Sure, most of them are super dirty, but that’s half the fun!
For Cat: What did you love most about the place you grew up? What about it did you love the least?
Most? The woods around Revelation are beautiful. Really calm, quiet place to go and... get away from people, thoughts, that sort of thing. The Great Library is like that, too.
...Maybe those things are related? I dunno. But I liked the places I could go and calm down from...
Well, from my least favorite thing about it. I’m... Not super smart. My gut has some decent instincts, but I’m not the kind of person you usually see in a city called Revelation. With that great, big, magic library and the university that cropped up underneath it to study all those old books, my hometown is a hotspot for super-geniuses. And a super-genius I am not. My classmates liked to remind me of that a lot. A bunch of the adults did it too, but it wasn’t to be mean, they probably actually thought they were being really nice, telling me what was wrong with me and how I needed to fix it. I think that was worse, actually. Especially since most of it came from my folks. They tried real hard to steer me away from fighting, even though it’s the only thing I’ve ever been any good at.
I’m... not looking forward to going back. I’d almost take a second round with the Baron over this.
For Cat: What was the worst sunburn you've ever had?
Uhhh, you ever hear of radiant mephits? I had to fight some in the arena about a year back, and afterwards one of the more magic leaning gladiators explained what the hell they even were; planar beings that live where the plane of fire and the plane of... uhh, positive energy? Or something? Overlap? Anyways, apparently that whole plane is supposed to be like living on the sun.
And so is the magic of all the beasties that live there. That part I can confirm firsthand. One of them cast color spray on me and it felt like a full day at the beach with no sunscreen, just crunched down into a five second spell. Goddess’ tits, that hurt. But the worst part. The worst part?
The worst part was the uneven tan I had for like 6 months afterwards. The healers fixed me up just fine, but I looked so stupid for like half a year. Man, Junie would have laughed to see it. Actually, I’m kinda glad she didn’t, I looked so dumb.
So I made my oc, Cat Noble as a Dragon Quest character. Unfortunately since drawing has more steps than ADHD brain wants to slog through at the moment, I ended up using the character creation from Soul Calibur 6 since that game is appropriately anime and will give me the Beefiness that Cat requires.
This is a long way of saying...
Help.
