You remind me of this really cool friend I had that I used to work with when I was a barista. She was always sharing knowledge on such interesting and niche parts of pop culture old and new. Movie nights with her always fun because it could be something from the 40s or it could a b-horror movie.

who do i remind you of?

i’m honored to remind you of someone like that! i feel i’m nothing if not my expansive knowledge about niche parts of part culture lol. my friends like to joke that i’ve given the “pretentious” card because i’ve dragged them through so many movies, from dog day afternoon to birds of prey, and they’ve been made to witness so many obsessions of mine that they themselves now carry these weird bits of information around with them too. i can’t help it though; i’m a firm believer in sharing my passions, especially with media. i just think that so many people have made so many beautiful things and it’s a shame to hide that stuff away or be ashamed for loving it a lot. i want to give people the opportunity to feel seen and to fall in love and to experience even just a smidge of my own passion for these things. it’s fun!
