The rest of the afternoon was quiet...almost too much so.

DJ had returned to his home relatively untouched. Physically, anyway. That could be seen as the Mage sat at the breakfast bar in the kitchen, his head laid down on it as a half-empty tray of brownies sat next to him. In actuality, he had taken it out with the full intention of eating some, but...never got around to it.

Instead, he was just napping there in the eerie quiet that had become his home.

That is, until his inbox demanded his attention. He stirred and opened his eyes, yawning and stretching before pulling out the device from his Pocket and opening the application...

...?! His eyes went wide for a moment.

“...Rose?”

I've done it, Rose... hopefully, Kanaya will return to you soon. I couldn't ensure that she would go right to your timeline, but I can search for her and give her a push in the right direction.

No sense in forcing it. She put out the call on her own time and I was simply quick on the draw to answer.

Assuming all is as it would have been, it's merely a matter of waiting to hear from her.

Bear in mind appearances can be deceiving, Miss Lalonde. I am Rose Strider, Knight of Light Ascendant, Sorceress and Artificer. I made a room temperature superconductor a couple days ago just to see if it was possible with game alchemy and magic. The answer is yes, absolutely.
