The fact that I really only see what I want to see, from the people I choose to follow, without algorithms pushing stuff at me to create max discourse or whatever!
You can have the same by:
going settings - account settings - dashboard preferences - turn off 'brst stuff first' 'in your orbit' 'based on your likes'
& settings - account settings - content you see, & there you can a) block tags (like horror or jumpscares, or just fandoms you don't like), and b) scroll down and change everything that's on 'hide' by default to 'show' to get that evil mature content etc
Also? That way it's way easier to have actual tumblr friends, we all reblog each other's shit, nothing disappears in algorithms never to be seen again and I don't forget about anyone just bc an algorithm doesn't like them, as long as sb reblogs stuff I keep seeing them around!
I've made three friendships and lost the three of them in the span of waiting for the next rebellion movie
