Shisui’s parents are sacks of shit. They want the best of the best, a toy, a prize, etc. Somewhere around his 13th year, Shisui semi-moved out - he’d still come in to scavenge the occasional meal or sleep in his old bed, but mostly spent his time elsewhere in the compound ; sleeping on roofs etc. This while he tried to figure out what the fuck to do with the situation.

It is unspoken but obvious that Uchiha Mikoto has adopted him - something he’s quietly ecstatic about. Itachi always considered him a brother anyway, and Sasuke hardly minded ( nor had the age to mind ). Fugaku had no complaint - in fact, a few stern reprimands were sent the ( ex. hah. )parents’ way.  It is not spoken of. Shisui does not speak with those people any longer, unless he has to.

some more headcanons bc i’m on a roll . SHISUI LIKES.

having his hair messed with.  provided it’s done by someone he’s okay with having at his back / nape / head,  it’s extremely relaxing && just ... makes him feel nurtured && cared for. it also gets him aroused,  but that’s hush hush.

sushi.   (  but it gives him the runs.  that’s not fun.  )   sushi is a cruel mistress.

sakura.   ... haruno sakura.   (  lbr.  )   it takes real effort not to say something along the lines of ---  “ love me a woman who can benchpress my ass / throw me through a wall / beat my ass in taijutsu / gets SO HIGHKEY ( if he says feisty she’ll string him up by his guts maybe he’s not taking that chance ... yet ) when she’s teased / etc. ”  --- because he worries about the consequences lmfao.

that said,  he loves it when somebody ( especially women ) benchpress his weight.   there’s just something utterly epic about it.   pure joy.

ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴ :  vampire ! genesis && feeding

since i absolutely adore the ‘gets crazy aroused + gets off like woah’ myth about vampires feeding,  i’m melding it into my headcanons.   it is,  however,  altered in attempts at adding my personal brand of realism && magic.

ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇɴᴅ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ᴠɪᴄᴛɪᴍ :  obviously,  the initial bite hurts.   i don’t know if you’ve ever been cut or tattooed - but having teeth ( no matter how sharp ) sink through your skin causes pain.   like,  can cope with but will potentially get teary-eyed type pain. okay. then there’s the bit where i’m adding vampiric energies or magic ( such as genesis being able to manipulate && even generate fire despite it being somewhat unnatural for vampires ).   this being a natural part of their entity ( ? ),  it reflexively manipulates whatever victim - because having your fix run away from you can get annoying.   depending on a victim’s affinity to these energies,  they will be more or less affected,  on a range of coming your brains out to ‘well that feels ... like getting blood sucked out of a wound???’.

the effects of bloodloss will apply regardless.

ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇɴᴅ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ ʙɪᴛɪɴɢ :  the psychological effects depend largely on the individual vampire’s stance on the matter.   it can also be tricky to go around biting people at every available opportunity without building up a reputation ( unless you’re adept at && willing to indulge in inconspicuous murder ).

fledgelings are driven to feed almost continuously for the first week or so, after which the transformation has ( hopefully lmao ) progressed well to a state of completion.   after that,  the need is less persistent - hungry,  but not quite starved.   there is a time around the 600 year mark where vampires are mostly sated,  the in- && output well balanced.   after that,  they begin to need blood less && less frequently,  which ( if heeded ) results in a body starved && a mind abstinent.   some deal with this well,  others prefer to continue to feed regularly for a variety of reasons ( abstinence doesn’t make them happy, their mind doesn’t respond well to the lack, they just fuckin enjoy it, they like to appear at least semi-warm to the mortal public, they enjoy sex && require bodily fluids &&/or erections for the deed, etc ).

those who feed rarely are starved.  when they feed,  the effects are more potent.   ( food tastes better when you’re hungry, amirite. )   this applies to genesis - he really doesn’t need blood to continue to not only live but exist anymore,  hasn’t for some time.   to blend in with the masses he refraind from going shrivelly ( lmao ) which would be rather noticable,  but that is about the only argument to urge him into action.   his voice is,  by default,  raspy due to the lack of liquid in his fucking vocal chords && his eyes more dull beyond the glitter of life.

feeding tends to cause pleasure of the most primal kind,  && i’m not talking about sexual - just the pleasure of getting precisely what you need.   the vampiric energies do not apply to their source,  as there is little advantage to going out of your mind when you are still basically on the hunt && not necessarily in a safe enough place to lose your damn head.   it can be manipulated to do so,  if the vampire in question is capable && concentrated enough.   it’s difficult && not necessarily worth the effort - a matter of preference.

whether or not one enjoys the trials of their victim is also dependent on the individual.

headcanon. ( headacneon ??? )

shisui definitely says  ‘cha chas real smooth’  - out loud.   a lot.

he’ll do it sometimes if he’s nervous about how he’s approaching someone - ie,  ‘do i sound like a regular douchebag’  or  ‘do i sound like an IRREGULAR douchebag && is that worse or better ???’  or  ‘can i say this or will this explode in my face oh kami’ .

he will mutter it,  under his breath.   possibly while staring whoever he’s conversing with in the face.   && he almost always does it with a very smooth voice that matches the words,  but not his facial expression. ( almost always.   sometimes it’s nervous && breathless or whispered or an afterthought or --- )

point is,  here’s my nerd love ihm.

headcanon :   clothing.

first off,  shisui is a nudist.   i shit you not - clothes are just never as comfortable as being naked,  you know ????   i mean they can be more comfortable than being seen balls-naked by your superior,  but clothing itself.   is just.   not better than skin. getting a cold tummy && the subsequent runs isn’t very cosy either,  or getting cold ; so they’re necessary && stuff.   just.   weh.

when he must,  shisui prefers baggy trousers && combat boots plus anything loose an’ breathing above that.   canon shows him wearing the regular ninja sandals,  but i'll have him wearing aforementioned boots. all those straps ???   much weaker than a solid boot,  what even ... anyway.   shisui’s just more that guy.   the  ‘oh you’re just trying to be cool’ - ‘nah i just like this’  guy.

headcanon . mind 

shisui is constantly at war within himself.   he wants to be loyal,  as well as a good && kind person.   up until the war,  ‘loyal’ && ‘good’ ( even ‘kind’ ) meant the same thing.   as he grows && learns && most of all questions ( on his own,  on the inside ),  this proves itself no more than conditioned thought.

shisui has to abandon the foundations upon which he builds himself  - the way he perceives && understands himself -  several times.   they are violent developments,  nigh on violating.   is he good ?   is he bad ?   && if neither term means more than a twist in perception,  then what does that make him ?           that means his actions weren’t based on loyalty,  but on choice.      sorely misinformed choice.

it means ... what ?   we act on reason,  but reason we use to argue emotion.   what is emotion,  then ?   what is this love that has him commit crimes ‘in the name of his Village’ --- but it’s all his own choice.

             fearful of the consequences,  shisui is careful not to speak - it takes little effort,  considering his deep-seated mistrust of people ( something that only grows as he comes to analyze && realize the casual && less so manipulation applied at every bloody corner - not just his own fucking family,  everyone ).

what is love if you are not free to tell it ‘no’ ?   this patriotism,  this will of fire,  this ‘don’t you love us???’.   what is love when it accuses you of the unthinkable if you tell it ‘i’d like not to’ ?

          what is love ( love ? or just sacrifice ? ) worth,  when it is not respectfully returned ?           when you are haunted,  hunted,  hounded if they decide you can no longer be trusted.              (  being one of high calibre,  he’s already closely watched.  )

trusted to be obedient.    trusted to serve,  with only enough analytical thinking to do your job && do it well -       absolutely no more than that.

the REAL TRUTH is that human beings act on the will / need to survive.   first && foremost at all,  then when such is secured it becomes ‘in whatever way preferred’.   to this end,  all else is painted in whatever colours needed.

in the end,  it’s been terribly easy to lead uchiha shisui around by the bloody nose. he’s been so stupid.   he can’t fucking tell what’s really real anymore.

                            (  either that,  or disgustingly little is.  )

it’s going to take some time to decide what he wants to do next.
