People are so petty about FRENCH billionaires donating to a historical church that has historical, spiritual, and cultural significance to their country and all the while whining “What about Grenfell Tower? What about Flint?” LMAO. I honestly didn’t hear about Grenfell until people began bitching about it on twitter and tumblr. Sorry, it ain’t that much of an American importance and hardly a European importance. The Notre Dame Cathedral, however, has a historical importance that has withstand revolutions, wars, and conflict. It represents the creativity of humankind that transcends France, Europe, and Western civilization. Was Grenfell (from what I know of it) tragic. Yes, but on a more local level. Let people donate to what they want and quit being assholes trying to question when.
PS: Ask BRITISH billionaires to concern themselves with Grenfell. Ask AMERICAN billionaires to concern themselves with Flint.

Please stop making fucking jokes about Notre-Dame. It is an incredibly significant part of both French and European history; and it is still burning. Firefighters have already been seriously injured trying to stop the fire from spreading, and centuries worth of art and architecture may be lost.
I realize I'm late to answer this, but the art was removed from the building because it was under construction prior to the fire. But more importantly it's a fucking BUILDING not a life. There are far more important things in this world than a catholic church. How about we fix Puerto rico? Fix flint? Fix the fucking planet? Literal lives are at stake and you're worried about art? Miss me with that bullshit
