She was 30 years old when the outbreak happened.

She’s the oldest Greene sister.

Her nicknames are usually Cath or Cathy, Cathy being mostly used by her family. Daryl calls her Kitten, mainly because he made an association of Cath with Cat. (Daryl is a cutie come on.)

At the beginning of the outbreak she knew nothing about guns or killing, much like her sisters.

She’s a nurse technician and used to work at the hospital from the closest city before the outbreak.

Avoids conflict as much as she can and is very patient until she reaches her boiling point.

She likes handcrafts and arts, used to do scrapbooking and still keeps a notebook around for doodling some patterns that helps her concentrate and also relax.

She was immediately attracted to Daryl when she first saw him and although her father alerted her about the danger of getting close to the strangers that had arrived at the farm she couldn’t help herself and get close to him.

Extremely bad at handing guns and knives, it demanded a lot of patience from Daryl to teach her.

It takes a long time along the road for her to be good at using guns to defend herself.

Maggie and Beth are constantly teasing her about Daryl till they actually become a thing.

She’s very close to her family, and love her sisters. But they fight as every other siblings.

As the older sister, she feels very responsible for Maggie and Beth. Maggie although a middle child shares this responsibility with her caring for Beth and also for Cathy. “Who’s gonna take care of you if I don’t?” Is what Maggie always tells her when told not to worry.

Her favorite flowers are Hydrangeas.

She loves to wear dresses while home, but loses this habit when the farm falls and they need to be always on the run.

She loves to swim and misses escaping to the woods back at the farm and swimming on the lakes there were around the region.

Her favorite animal is a Horse. Daryl says she’s a sadist for this, but come on, she grew up on a farm.

She really cherishes family and friendship, the line between them being very thin, which means if you are her friend you’re also her family.

She loves sweet and candies, but is more of a salty food person.

For now that’s it, but I’ll add more in the future. 🩷✨

THE JOKER'S CHAIR [IN MEMORY OF DERMOT MORGAN - FATHER TED]-163053 by William Murphy Via Flickr: This is known locally as Father Ted's Chair and it was installed in Merrion Square in 2002, four years after Morgan passed away, suddenly, aged 46, in February 1998. Beside the statue, a plaque reads: and all the rest is laughter laughter liberating laughter to be remembered. The chair, detailed with an eye and two balls atop a crown-like feature, is officially named The Joker’s Chair. In 2002 Galway-born sculptor Catherine Greene was commissioned to design and create a memorial statue. Inspired by the works of William Shakespeare explored the parallel between Morgan and the medieval role of The Fool who dispenses unfiltered truth to the morally blind senior members of society. The artist felt it would be important for the public to engage with the artwork so she created a throne and if one looks just underneath the seat, you will see an eye, which for Greene represents the knowing eye. The balls on the top of the seat for her are like the hat of the jester. The artist Catherine Greene was born in Galway and studied at the National College of Art and Design from 1979-85.

Reforming the quartermaster department was not the only problem on General Greene’s mind. His wife, Catherine, had arrived at Valley Forge while he was wrestling with the decision to take the job. Known to most people as Caty, she was a shapely brunette with “high color… vivacious expression and a snapping pair of dark eyes.” Caty was twelve years younger than Nathanael and had a tendency to flirt with handsome men. At Valley Forge, Caty was soon visiting with Mrs. Washington, who found her good company. General Steuben was another conquest; Caty was probably the only woman in camp who spoke French. This talent soon led to not a little dalliance with the Marquis de Lafayette. Somewhat more serious was her flirtation with swaggering General Anthony Wayne, whose wife, Polly, had told him he was not welcome in his nearby home because of his frequent philandering. Wayne already had two attractive women in the vicinity of the winter camp to whom he paid frequent visits. Another general’s wife, Lucy Knox, spouse of artillery commander Henry Knox, began telling people that “all was not well” between General Greene and his wife. Caty and Lucy, who weighed over three hundred pounds and was unlikely to charm any of Caty’s conquests, began a feud that lasted until the end of the war. Nathanael, knowing how much it pleased Caty, often reported on Lucy’s latest weight gain.

Chapter 23- Luck be a Lady (Turn AMC)

Here she is!! I’m a fool and didn’t realize she could’ve been done weeks ago by simply checking the page numbers, but chapter 23 (which isn’t a real number to me yet) is posted!! It IS more of a filler chapter but it definitely has build up and highlights Adrienne’s healing process as it’s speeding up again! And yes, I’m aware I chickened out on the camp follower gossip in this chapter but it will come possibly (???)I’ve just been WAY too tired to bother with writing it so.......

“Adrienne had always known George Washington, and while she believed the man to be capable of being many things, a commander-in-chief of a rebel army facing the greatest power in the world— let alone a man who was so foolish to think he could win such a fight— was not one of them. But she was not sure how much she would favor the other options of Conway and Gates. Adrienne had two choices: she could rush into a marriage that was starting to make smothering herself to death with her bed pillow quite an appealing option, or she could wait. To wait was dangerous. To wait was to hope that General Washington remained in command and that his favor with the congress of self-important men would be restored quickly. Adrienne hated to admit it, but she relied on George for his ridiculous position in this army.

That was why she had been left behind.”
