Catherine G. Wolf (b. 1947) is a psychologist and expert in the field of human-computer interaction. Her research focuses on how people interact with software, and how speech and written words can be converted into digital information.
In 1997 she was diagnosed with ALS, and the disease deteriorated rapidly until she was left with almost no voluntary functions. Despite this, she can still communicate through a sophisticated computer which translates her eyebrow movements into text. Even in this condition, she is still an active researcher in the field.
