Cathonics were crucial in holding the Abyssal trenches and the Bathypelagic front while terrestrial forces were marshaling and building Abyssal Suits. The Cathonics were driven from their ancestral deep sea homes by the Upwelling, and since then have experienced a mass exodus to coastal regions. -M
