some thoughts of future arknights event predictions are stirring in my head rn. oooh head full.
all the major forces in terra are reacting to priestess; we're seeing the effects on originium itself (chloe's case, hierda's abilities, the kolossal prime vein disappearing, originium detected beneath the sea), but others with strong reactions are the Law (the masses travels), collapsals (sami, the black flow in bolivar), and now the feranmuts (higashi, kjerag, sami again). only a matter of time before the beast lords and seaborn are also involved. so im gonna throw some predictions of future stories.
0. Warning Signs
Higashi: escalating tension between courts due to increased activity on the north-south rift, and curse god involvement
Sami: forced elevation of the land by the Sami feranmut responding to collapsal activity
Bolivar: spread of black flow, Columbian dispatch teams have gone missing
Gaul, for some fucking reason, reappears
each one of these could become a side story, anniversary event, or even a future Integrated Strategies theme (like maybe bolivar for IS7). for prediction purposes, these are the obvious ones based on the PV, just to get them out of the way, EXCEPT!
1. Sequel to Path of Life + Exodus from the Pale Sea
this one might be anniversary level. since both iberia and aegir stories are under the same movement "Glimpse from the Depths", the sequel to both events might converge. anastasio might make a return, having fused with the seaborn juana kept in her lair. thorns does mention of the structure at sea's end in his files, as well as having met saint carmen. brushing with the inquisition and having a golden age pirate like juana might make for the perfect bridge between the two nations, converging into this hypothetical sequel event. an aegir probe has also detected originium in the ocean, previously unseen before. not to mention, isn't rhodes island planning to leverage connections with gladiia and clementia's channels to secure rebuilding and transfer of RI assets?
2. Feranmut Activity in Yan
the above is just for illustration purposes... but it does invoke the imagination. the sui events centre around the awakening of, well, Sui, great yan's main threat. sui is of such grave importance to yan that the government's response to the events in leithanien, ursus, and iberia-aegir is to haste their preparations for facing the sui's reawakening. ji's tip to zuo le greatly implies some of wang's weiqi pieces reaching to feranmuts outside yan, so we might even see this yanese storyline go international. predicting that either the (local) climax or the immediate aftermath to it will connect the sui storyline with the main story via feranmut involvement. only time will tell, of course.
3. Kargereich: Where are the Nearls?
collapsals sure come in different forms huh. the nearl crest (staff?) appearing in the kargereich greatly implies maria and margaret's parents having been to, or still are, in there. as the one devoted to following yolanta and schnitz's trail, młynar met viviana in leithanien once he found out this lead from the kargereich. the event could either go kazimierz or leithanien... or even gaul. shudders. logic and reality behave quite differently in the realm of collapsals; long deceased figures like yulia schuler and the witch king, viviana's numerous versions of her past... either the nearl parents are alive, passed on, or some secret third thing.
4. Alliance of Beast Aristocrats stemming from Siracusa
the beast lords, or aristocrats, are the final key to the puzzle. of all the major forces in terra, it is the lords who have had the least apparent ties to the main story. at the tail end of I Portatori dei Velluti, however, the wolves mentioned a "crisis that has put all the Aristocrats of Beasts on guard", so not just the wolf pack! emperor even met with agnese before the event, and the beasts are likely to convene to respond to this crisis; no doubt this is referring to 'her.' this beast-centric event might either be set in siracusa or some part of the great wilderness we've not seen before.

Sequel to Lone Trail, focusing likely on Nasti's floating city (rebuilt Galleria Stellaria = Uraniborg or not?)
Sequel to Inudi Harek Horakhet, with Minos focus that also involves Medjehtiqedti, so it might look into Sargon-Minos relations
Ursus event involving Koshelna, which might explore a historical theme based on Igor the Bear-Raiser who overthrew the Hippogryhs
so uh, lets see how wrong i am in a year or so.
