         Trust was fragile... She was aware... painfully aware she had shattered that trust a long time ago. Now, they both were suffering over it and Adora completely blamed herself. Still, she too wasn’t good with her emotions, even with the Rebellion giving her the freedom to be more comfortable in her own skin. Now... now she had to coax Catra... to let her know that it was okay to show her more vulnerable side. Prove to her that she wasn’t going away like last time..           ❝ Sure.... Just the two of us. ❞ She extended a cautious hand to her, ready to lead her to a more private area where they could just be in each other’s company without prying eyes.

                                                  When..? 

SUFFICE TO SAY, Vivian had not anticipated anyone’s presence while doing what he did best and most definitely illegally trespassing (even if it was for an abandoned ruin). Nor had he expected such poor timing (stupid stupid stupid; should have paid more attention). It must have looked very strange to see a eloquently hooded figure (quite small in stature) standing over what could have been old blood splattered on the floor.. but none on the figure or their clothes. Oops... perhaps he should have done his task much quicker.. but how often did he find more living souls wandering the same grounds as him..? The possibility will have to be kept in mind for the future.

She crossed her arms, brows furrowed. “Or maybe you could say ‘ I’m sorry you fell on your ass, Adora. Did it hurt?’“ Honestly, would it kill her to be just one bit nicer?

Rin had been out wondering today. It was a surprisingly warm winter so far and she wanted to take advantage of the warmer weather before it turned too cold to venture our for more then a few minutes. So here she was, wondering the woods and just enjoying the sunlight filtering through the now mostly bare trees. And then she noticed it. A black cat that seemed larger then a normal stray and with a rather large wound on its back. 

She was suddenly reminded of her first meeting of Lord Sesshomaru and rushed forward towards it, hoping she could help it in some way with the small pouch of herbs she’d begun to carry around with her on the advice of Kagome-neesan.

“It’s okay, kitty, I’m just here to help, she said soothingly as she held her hands up in a way to show she meant it no harm. “Will you let me check out your wound?”

         A smile formed over her lips as she looked behind her toward the door of their dorm. She knew everyone, would change shifts soon and they needed to leave NOW if they weren’t going to get caught. Her grip was firm on her friend's hand as she led the way through the door and out into the corridor.

         With nothing more than a bag with personal items and food she had been sneaking into her room for days, she made sure that she had enough for both of them. It was no telling how long it would be before they found a place to stay, eat, and get some sort of work to keep ends meet. She definitely didn't want them to starve to death on the road at any point.

         Her heart was pounding in her chest, her grip tightening on Catra's as she looked up and down each hall to make sure no one was watching. She slipped to the staircase and practically sprinted down them, careful to miss the ones that squeaked on her way down. Her eyes once again dart around to make sure no one was around before sprinting for the door.

         Once outside, a large smile formed. They were almost free!

        ❝ Okay Catra, time for you to get the gate. ❞

🗡–  ᴛʜᴇɪʀ ꜰɪʀꜱᴛ ᴛʜᴀɴᴋꜱɢɪᴠɪɴɢ had came and gone in a blink of an eye. While they didn’t have much in their little apartment. A craigslist couch, table, and chairs along with a blowup mattress they shared off in the corner of the studio, they still had a small turkey and dressing that Adora had managed to put together. She even surprised Catra with homemade churros, something that hadn’t been easy to make at all.          With their dinner over and the city streets filling with those of Black Friday shopping, the Christmas season settled in around them. Something that neither of them ever had the chance to celebrate. ❝ Common Catra! We have to go to a tree farm! If only for this year... Please!!! ❞
