Info Dump

Nirlanni Lavellan. Hunter, tracker, rogue. When it comes to the hunt and duties to the clan she's all business. The needs of the clan always come before personal wants or desires. Outside of that she's the playful sort, upfront and in your face with both her humor and her opinions. Like Nesnaya she tends to keep an open mind about the world and what's out there, feeling that there's only so much a small dalish clan would understand when Thedas is so massive.

She and Nesnaya are not complete opposites - they agree on many things and have somewhat similar hobbies. While they never bought into the clan's superstition behind their blindness, they do feel they have a stronger connection than most. They also had tailored their combat styles to be each other's eyes, so to speak. Nesnaya becoming a part of the Inquisition and leaving the clan for good, thus separating them, was a blow they both felt keenly.

In regard to other races Nirlanni dislikes humans (she blames them for taking her sister away because she may or may not have a slight sister complex) and is indifferent to everyone else. Solas is the exception (she really dislikes him) because 1) Sister complex and 2) She thinks he's a pretentious arsehole. But mostly because of reason 1.

I may or may not ship her with Abelas because shame, what's shame?

Nesnaya Lavellan. I've talked about her before but it's been a while so updates it is. Formerly First to the Keeper, Nesnaya is the sort of person who dislikes being tied down to one place for too long and is prone to wander. As a child it gave her elders no end of grief and frustration, as she would often skip out on training and studies to explore the forests and climb up to the highest spots she could find and nap. Despite her restless nature she loves history and ancient elven lore. Once the Keeper managed to tailor their lessons to appeal to that side of Nesnaya's interests, things became easier for everyone.

Unlike her twin she tends to be more subtle in her behavior. While not overly outspoken, she is firm in her convictions. She dislikes rigidity and false dichotomies. "There's always another answer" is her saying to anything resembling an ultimatum.

Being thrown into the Inquisition has forced her to think more about religion and faith than she has before. She respected the elven gods from a scholastic standpoint, and her faith came from the fact that it was simply 'how it was'. Her general opinion on Andrastians is low, although she likes the Chant of Light and enjoys reading the text from a historian's perspective.

When it comes to other races Nesnaya is open minded and accepting of just about anyone so long as they don't try to change or stifle who she is.

She (unsurprisingly) ended up in a relationship with Solas.

30 Day Inquisitor Meme Days: 18-13

18 Days: How does your Inquisitor feel about being sent to/being at the conclave?

It was her duty, I don't think she thought too much of it. Go there, deal with some humans, come back home. Keep an open mind and heed the Keeper's warning/suspicions.

17 Days: Name 5 favorite things of your Inquisitor. Then name 5 disliked things. Animals, foods, colors, etc.

Nesnaya likes: Pears, High places, drums, ancient script, exploring anything old/rustic/historical-looking.

Dislikes: Any form of bullying, cruelty, or abuse (others, nature, animals, etc), onions, liars, being confined in one location for long, racism (particularly against elves, although she believes in equality for all)

16 Days: Does your Inquisitor have any hobbies outside of Inquisition business?

She enjoys translating texts and spelunking. Nesnaya likes getting down and dirty and cares little for appearance when it comes to something she's searching for. Vivienne will probably hate her.

15 Days: Describe the world state for your Inquisitor. Who rules Ferelden, Is The Warden still alive, Is there an Old God Baby, Did Hawke side with the mages or the Templars, etc etc.

So for Nesnaya's world state, Alistair rules Fereldan jointly with Anora and Kadrian Mahariel killed Loghain (he didn't hate Loghain, however, but understood if he hadn't, Alistair would have). He did, in fact, take Morrigan up on her offer - he did not want to leave Zevran with the same emptiness he felt when Tamlen died.

Linri Hawke did side with the mages, and didn't have the heart to kill Anders, so he and Sebs aren't buds anymore (not that they were friends, Linri thought Sebs was rather boring). Somehow he managed to befriend and romance a certain prickly magic-fisting elf and I headcanon that they ran away together the end.

14 Days: Tell us about The Warden. Race, class, love interest, name gender? How would your Inquisitor feel about them? Do you think they would get along?

Kadrian Mahariel was a male dalish warrior who wielded two long swords. He held an unrequited love for Tamlen for years and had finally let go of it when he disappeared into the eluvian. As the warden he befriended almost all of his companions, particularly Morrigan, Sten, and Shale. He fell for Zevran but became depressed and withdrawn when it at first seemed like their relationship would only be friends with benefits. They overcame that hurdle and Kadrian is still very much in love with Zev.

It is likely that with them both being around the same age that Nesnaya and Kadrian could have met at least once when all the dalish gather together. It is unlikely either one made an impression on the other. Nesnaya would see a kindred spirit and welcome face with Kadrian and be welcoming, and he the same. While I'm not sure if they'd become friends, they would at least be polite acquaintances.

13 Days: Now tell us about your Hawke. How would your Inquisitor feel about them? Do you think they would get along?

Linri Hawke is a rogue who never learned the meaning of the word 'tact' and 'grace' - save for when it comes to fighting. He was a wildcard growing up, and he can be overprotective over the twins. Carver's death really messed Linri up for a while, and his jokes started becoming a bit more morbid. Bethany ended up joining the Wardens (which she resented Linri for and that depressed him but he keeps that to himself). Fenris' dumping him and Leandra's murder had him shut down and turn into someone who never takes anything seriously, to the point of irritation. 

Getting back with Fenris has helped this a bit, but it'd be 50/50 on whether or not he and Nesnaya would get along. He goofs off too much normally but his fighting style is ferocious and almost cruel. Nesnaya can tolerate a lot but her patience has limits.

Countdown Inquisitor Meme: 20 & 19

20 Days: Describe an important event in the Inquisitors life from before the Breach.

I'll get back to ya on that. At the moment it's when she was officially declared First to the Keeper.

19 Days: What was your Inquisitor doing before being sent to the Mage-Templar conclave?

More than likely fulfilling her duties. Sticking with her studies and using her leisurely time to drift off and do whatever.

Countdown Inquisitor Meme: 21

21 Days: Did the Inquisitor have any friends? What were they like?

As a First to the Keeper, Nesnaya unfortunately had to focus more on her training than with making friends. She had her twin sister, and there were a few other children she associated with, but for the most part she never had any real close friends.

This didn't really bother her, as she doesn't mind being solitary, and with her daydreamy nature she often got lost in her own thoughts and fantasies.
