@catricc started following you
Morty’s shoulder’s tense as an abrupt but loud sneeze rumbled out of him. He rubbed the back of his hand against his itchy nose that still stung with an unfamiliar but heavy scent. It made him feel the need to sneeze again. “I-I smell a... cat”
[[ @catricc cont. from here ]]
After Karkat’s shift was over, he clocked out, then grabbed his bag and keys before gesturing for his new roommate to follow him as he walked out the door.
He gave a sigh as the cool air hit his face, and though he was still feeling just a bit iffy about having Rick come over and live with him for a bit, he didn’t seem to be showing any ill attitude toward the other like he had been before.
In fact, the entire walk to his apartment had been pleasantly quiet.
At least until he had arrived the the worn-down apartment complex that seemed to be falling apart slowly and looked as if it had seen better years.
The human hummed then, and walked up to the door, pulling his keys out before he opened it up and then walked with the other over to the small elevator.
Any other day Karkat probably would have taken the stairs, but he was tired. And wanted nothing more than to get up to his apartment and head straight to his room for a much-needed rest... And when they finally made it up to about the fifth floor, Karkat led the way down the eery hallway until getting to his door and stopping in front of it to grab his keys out again and unlock the door to go in.
Unlike the rest of the building, Karkat’s apartment seemed fairly decent in size. It was small, but roomy enough for about four people. It had a decent kitchen and living space, and then what looked like a small hall that led into three different rooms.
Karkat sighed at this, and after setting his bag down beside the door and letting Rick in. He closed it behind himself and then went to gesture to the place.
“It’s not much, but it’s probably a lot better than a shitty hotel.... Oh uh, you’ll probably be sleeping on the couch until I can get something better. But don’t worry that couch is actually pretty new. I bought it about a month ago so it’s pretty comfortable---- Oh yeah, I should probably tell Kankri you’re here too, so you don’t scare him later.”
With this being said, Karkat gave a tired yawn, before making his way towards the small hallway, only to stop in front of one of the doors and give a small knock.
“Hey Kankri can I come in?”
There’s a small yes from the other side, and then without hesitation, Karkat opened the door and looked at Kankri. Who was wearing a t-shirt and some lounging pants while he sat on his bed reading over a few English text books.
“Hey, we’ve got a guest staying with us for a little while, so don’t let him freak you out.”
“Guest?”
“Yeeeah, his name’s Rick, he doesn’t have anywhere else to stay and I told him he could crash here.”
@catricc

He’s staring. He knows he’s staring. Is it rude to ask? Probably. Is he going to ask anyway? Yes. “C-can I pet y-you?”

“Rare we get out-of-dimensioners in here. Hope you’re finding everything to your liking?”
@catricc ❤ for a starter.
“You say you are an assassin... but are you a good actor?”
It was not common for Fritz to hire living, breathing beings to... really do anything for him. He just didn’t trust them at all. Especially humans... However this was not a human, and while it was a Rick, well.. He needed someone that was not a robot right now. Someone humanoid.
“I’ll pay you handsomely if you can take care of a group of people for me, by infiltrating their base and taking them out from within.”
