Ladybug knew that this was a chance that they couldn’t let slip by them. Hawk Moth was out in the open and alone. This was the chance for them to end this war between them. A chance to finally bring peace to the people of Paris. She knew this was a huge risk to take but it was a risk that they had to take. She’s known from day one that as long as they are together they can do anything. That idea was even truer once the secrets and walls between them were gone. She had full faith in them that tonight was the last night that Hawk Moth would be a threat.
Ladybug found a sense of irony that the final battle wasn’t taking place under the Eiffel Tower in the middle of the day. Especially given that almost every Akuma attack there was at least a few civilians who were aware of an attack happening. Rather this fight was happening during the night on the outskirts of the city. There were no witnesses, no bystanders, no Ladyblog. It was just her, Chat Noir, and Hawk Moth. At least it was supposed to be just the three of them. Ladybug knew that assuming that Hawk Moth would come alone was stupid. There was an Akuma lurking in the shadows that she didn’t notice until the last second.
That initial hit she took separated her from Chat Noir and she was left fighting the Akuma by herself. She always hated fighting away from Chat because of her distinct weakness in close range combat. Ladybug also knew she had to purify or at least subdue the Akuma without her Lucky Charm. She couldn’t risk de-transforming now and leaving Chat alone with Hawk Moth. So she took everything she had and threw it at the Akuma. It was one of the toughest fights the spotted heroine had, but she managed to purify the Akuma. However, her suit got torn in the process and her body was badly bruised. Not to mention that her energy levels were near depleted but she forced herself to get back to Chat Noir and to help him.
She was thankful that there wasn’t anyone nearby who could have gotten hurt in the crossfire. She was barely able to keep herself safe if she had to manage the safety of civilians she didn’t want to think of the outcome. Once she reached the scene of the battle she was’t sure what happened next. Ladybug thought she had the element of surprise but somehow Hawk Moth knew that she was coming. He ended up not only stopping her attack he managed to get his blade right against her throat.
“Give me your Miraculous Chat Noir or else Ladybug’s suit isn’t the only thing that’s going to be red here tonight.”
Ladybug knew that as long as Hawk Moth was active there was a chance she would die in battle. For the first few weeks that idea scared her. Though she slowly came to terms with the idea and she was at a point where she was okay to die as long as Paris was safe. “Don’t do it Chat! Everyone else is more important!”
