Opened a bottle of Cider Riot Oregon Blackberry cider. This has a sweet yeasty funky smell. It is very dry and tart without very much berry flavor. At 6.9 ABV, it's highly carbonated with a watery taste. I think it might be bottle conditioned and not stored properly where I purchased it since it has "live product" on the side. Had to try Aspall Perronelle's Blush English Cider. It has a light sweet honeysuckle. It has low carbonation with a balance sweet/tart apple berry taste. At 5.7 ABV, this is a very drinkable cider. This is the 3rd Aspall cider I have tried and I've been a fan of each one. #aspall #catznbeer #hardcider #cider #sunday

Tried Blue Mountain Peach Hard Apple Cider. It has a nice sweet apple fragrance. It has a well balanced flavor with a hint of peach. At 6% ABV, this is a very drinkable cider on the sweeter end. #catznbeer #bluemountaincider #ciderreviews #miltonfreewater #hardcider

Picked up some Diamond Knot IPA. This brew is based out of Mukilteo, Washington. This brew has a nice hoppy fragrance. It has a well balance flavor with a long earthy finish. Cracked open a Hair of the Dog 2014 Fred from the woods. This is a bottle conditioned ale with 10% ABV. This beer has a strong boozy Carmel burnt whisky fragrance. It has a deep Amber color with creamy foam and long legs. It is bitter, smoky and very smooth. It has low carbonation with a long aftertaste. This ale is very complex. Picked up some Modern Times Apricot Gose. Gose style beer is quickly becoming my favorite session beer with its tart refreshing flavor and low abv. (This one has 4.8 abv). This beer has a sweet fruity fragrance. It has lots of apricot, banana and citrus flavor. I found that this beer taste best about 45 minutes out of the fridge. The raise in temperature brings out the stone fruit flavor. There is a nice tart and wheaty aftertaste. This Gose has a creamier mouthfeel then typical of this style which I really enjoyed.
