grocery shopping ; grandpa zack and preston.
@zackfrey
while his eyes scanned every level of his fridge’s shelves, and every corner of his soon-to-be emptied kitchen, preston made sure he added the things he needed to buy on the mental checklist he had made himself, the second zack texted him a trip to the grocery store was needed. although preston’s a well planned and an organized person (especially in his work), on some days -- most definitely when he’s busy with work and his upcoming projects, he would come across quite absentminded. if it wasn’t for zack’s reminder, or much rather favor, preston wouldn’t have realized how big of a mess his apartment has become. there were empty takeaway boxes laying around, half opened bags of chips -- as well as empty ones, and cardboard cups of coffee laying around from when he had ran back and forth from the coffee shop down the street to his apartment -- all because of his current project.
the expired milk carton of one year got preston thanking zack mentally. he crinkled his nose as he tossed it into a bin bag, along with the rubbish which buried his kitchen counters and tables. at least it wasn’t as bad compared to back when he had lost his brother. the mess and damage he caused in his room and on himself at the time through his long period of grieving wouldn't be able to compare. this time it was different. it was more of him adverting his attention completely onto one project -- hence why he didn’t have much time or energy in cleaning up his apartment. definitely another thing to add onto his to-do list.
preston knocked against the wooden door, and as he waited for a response from the other end, he played with his car keys; allowing the key chain to circle and swing around a finger.
