Lauren had always been the creative type. Singing, acting, writing, mixing... she’d honestly dabbled in just about everything. She used the creative arts as a way of expressing herself in ways that simple sentences wouldn’t be able to.
If she had a crush? She sang about it. If she felt hurt? She delivered a heart-breaking monologue. There was nothing she couldn’t do when it came to the arts - and not in a ‘I’m great at everything’ kind of way, but instead a ‘this is who I am’ way.
While she’s definitely talented enough to have made it into Hollywood Arts on her own, she had her mother’s fiance to thank for her spot in the school.
Her mother and her had moved into town recently after her mom’s boyfriend popped the big question after a long term, long-distance relationship.
Her soon-to-be-stepfather was the principal of the high school, and was the reason she got to spend her senior year at the school of any creative person’s dreams.... that is, unless you’re like Lauren.
She was handed her class schedule, and given a poor explanation of where to go to get to her first class, and sent on her way; and she was too focused in on the information on the paper that she didn’t see the guy just outside the door, until her body collided with his
