Fawful Month Day 19: AU! 🍬

A little doodle to show I care about my lovelies Minty and Casadora with their ships w/Fawful, Mintful and Cawfie respectively, they changed my life <3

Day 19: AU (ft. Minty and Casadora)

Yeah I actually have 2 AUs of Fawful and they both happen to be ships :)

Mintful and Cawfie are the official names of the ships and I'm just so proud of them jkhdsjg even if I don't talk about them too often

Now stay with me I'm gonna explain the ships xD

I'll start with Cawfie first since that's came first...da first Fawful ship I've ever written! This ship is from a dark story I've still been writing for a long time now, the series is called Smoker Toad RP (there's a part 1 and part 2, these designs being from part 1), and while this ship isn't the main focus of the story it's still one of my favorite things to write.

So like, Fawful in this story is after BIS, and this goes with the "Motherly Cackletta" storyline (which was my personal headcanon a few years ago) He's hiding in Dark Land (Neo Bowser City to be more specific) and is kinda depressed, he's still evil but it's mostly for a revenge plan and trying to revive Cackletta and Midbus and taking over the world.

Casadora Sheye is a tall hybrid lady (she's half human and half shy guy) and is very murderous and crazy, but she just hides it under a cutesy and flirty persona. She's the ultimate Fawful supporter and they both understand each other.

Ironically despite Casadora loving the evil parts of Fawful, and trying to encourage him, she's the reason that Fawful loses his vigor for his evil plans in the first place, seeing that there's still someone supportive in his life. He kinda just...doesn't really know why he's evil anymore (because in this AU Fawful was mostly chasing for affection and admiration through evil means, to get the people he cared about back)

Tl;dr These two are crazy lovers and emotional supporters, short king with tall queen it's all good. Fawful learns that he doesn't wanna be evil anymore due to having a partner yay

Fun fact Mintful was actually inspired by my want to write more things like Cawfie, so you have that last ship to thank for this one :)

This ship is from a lighthearted comic I'll eventually work on called Minty Frazzles, and unlike Cawfie the ship a pretty big focus of the story.

Fawful in this story is more like how he's portrayed in canon, especially in Bowser's Minions where it's showed he planned on betraying Cackletta. So I threw that Mom Cackletta thing out the window lmao. He's just back in hiding after BIS and plans to take over the world again because...selfish xD

Minty is cool, she's a nice silly lady who will talk about cats and how they used to be worshipped and she's got a thing for evil people so of course when she meets Fawful she just...y'know...wants to vouch for a criminal and get him out of jail. Normal stuff?

They both have a love for peppermint and coffee and they can bicker but eventually they grow to be their better selves when around each other. Minty never wanted to "fix" Fawful, but she sees nice things in him and accidentally makes Fawful a nicer person (he's still evil though dw) and Fawful's weird personality and confidence makes Minty more confident as well.

Tl;dr It's sort of like a hero x villain trope and it's gonna be cute and they're gonna do great things together despite their morals. Also they're coffee and mint junkies

💚Day 19: AU (ft. lovely OCs :D)🥰 

Here's the 2 AUs I have which include Fawful in it! He's a very enjoyable silly bean...and a tragic guy. 

I like to play around with what could happen after the events of BIS I'm really happy about how this turned out...it shows me how much my art has improved and how confident I feel about the designs. Even if they look a bit off-canon I'm happy to accept my style the way that it is :D 

The first Fawful is from Minty Frazzles! It takes place a few years after BIS to a Fawful that's still determined to take over the kingdoms...until he runs into Minty and shenanigans ensue. Now under house arrest in the Mushroom Kingdom, he's thrusted into new scenarios and opportunities he would have never imagined being a part of. Fawful learns to kick back and meet new friends...and perhaps even learn a whole new meaning of love and acceptance. 

The second Fawful is from Smoker Toad RP (part 1), also taking place sometime after BIS. Fawful's losses of plans and close ones alike, combined with the dark power that resides within him, haunt him to the point of schizophrenia. Fawful hides in Neo Bowser City...he wants to build a machine to bring back the dead and get vengeance on everyone that stands in his way, old and new. Having a new minion by his side makes Fawful realize the horrible weight of possibly making the same mistakes he had before... 

So there you have the AU stuff!! Could ramble about it for hours but I like to keep stuff concise. One more day of AU content in a row tomorrow btw, so I hope you're excited to see that tomorrow!

The Mario and Luigi pic is up next,,I know it doesn’t mesh the best since the banner had them not interacting side by side like everyone else, but I still wanted to make this anyways!

I had a hard time figuring out if I wanted to make the Mintful pfp but different colors or just go for a different pattern entirely, but I came up with a solution. The stripes in the background here are reminiscent of the artwork here featuring Mario’s firebrand and Luigi’s thunderhand! It made sense since...I plan on featuring their powers a lot in the comic, it’s actually pretty important, so here’s this legendary art I LOVE IT SM

Up next is Fawful and Casadora, and this is referencing an old background I used to have as my lockscreen a long time ago...which I’ve never shared in public before now (OLD ART EUGH xD)

(you can definitely tell my art style has improved lmao)

but anyways last but not least Smoker Toad and Joseph just have the same kind of background but more in their colors instead! Nothing too deep there hehe
