The irony of "stop being a loser and start being a horse" becoming Deacon's slogan. It is not even his quote, they're Chase's words from All that Glitters, Deacon was just repeating them.

But I guess that is so him.

Living in his cousin's shadow. In comic and in the fandom. Getting used as a stepping stone by Wave to get to the keys and being used as a stepping stone by the fandom to get Cinderella Boy more popularity via the sexyman contest thing.

It's the most Deacon thing to ever happen.

It is a great slogan though, for people outside the fandom, for catching attention, for garnering votes. It'll do a great job.

But I do laugh at the thought that Deacon is a writer, and his THE quote is not even his.

We hear about Chase’s friends, but does Deacon have any? No mentions of him still friends with people from the same high school he and Chase went to, nor mentions of any friends from college.

So. I headcanon that at the stargoth wedding, Deacon will be *Buddy’s* best man. As far as I see, that’s Deacon’s closest friend who isn’t a relative or a tiny metal person

I hope Deacon gets to write a very popular series, in which there are side characters based off of Chase and Buddy and (much to his dismay) the side toxic yaoi ship is far more popular than the main straight pairing

People who think Deacon is just in his cousins shadow or a push over dont properly understand his character.

I feel like being on the patreon is a bit of a cheat for me being able to say this but.. Deacon is to an extend emotionally repressed, and socially underdeveloped young adult who's spent his life pursuing the goals of his parents and nothing more. Chase was given more freedom of expression growing up and lack of strict expectations. Along with his father dying and his mother's health that has forced him to grow up from a young age, and mature faster.

Deacon struggles with his insecurity stand alone to Chase, its less than he's in his cousins shadow and more that due to this lack of expression and emphasis on expectations hes mentally been a adult his whole childhood. And due to this lack of socialisation he has virtually no friends nor romantic experience.

Hes just an insecure guys suffering at the consequences of restriction from an early age, and he wishes he could be more but as we are shown he realises that he actually wouldn't enjoy being the main focus nor hero.

Now bcs im ALSO a fast passer im not going to comment on Wave even though ive made an amazing analysis on him.

If we're to talk about fandom weirdly sexualizing, we should be talking about Deacon. Coz, man, what on earth are you guys even talking about omfg. That's just some guy, that's literally just some guy, the thirst in the fandom needs to researched.

I'm a lesbian, but I'm not blind. And I absolutely do not see it. It seems to me either some extremely elaborate joke or mass psychosis.
