It's bittersweet in that the ride is over. [Kim's Convenience is] something that is such an intrinsic part of my career and my life. It's opened up so many doors for me. I'm forever grateful and humbled... and I'm also very proud.
Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, to Talia Schangler, on CBC Q.
It is very bittersweet for me to, that this lovely show ended. So much so that I haven’t been able to watch the last season yet. I keep it for a time when I will need comfort, like a treat or a warm hug; because I know it will bring me joy, like Kim’s Convenience has from the very start. And probably a few tears too, but maybe then I’ll be ready to say goodbye...
Astronauts are not thrillseekers at all. They are people who have decided that some things in life are so important that they're worth taking a risk for... Exploring the rest of the universe, understanding how the world works, understanding the fundamental nature of physics, you know, to me that's worth taking a risk for.
I always love listening to Chris Hadfield, I often find his perspective and conversation enlightening (he was on CBCQ).
I was in the room (auditorium) when he was inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame, and I will always remember how he intently and intensely stressed that when you look at the Earth from space, there are no borders, but humans everywhere. It resonated deeply with my own beliefs, that this Earth we live on is no one’s property and belong to each and every one of us, and that there is ‘kind’ in humankind; compassion should be the instinctive feeling between all of us.
And I’m very curious to read The Apollo Murders, his debut foray into fiction writing!

I've been to a thousand live concerts of all shapes, sizes, venues, genres, etc. Rock, metal, folk, rap, pop, folk-rap, pop-metal, ummmm... nu-techno-folk? As it stands, I've never seen @julytalk live, but it's safe to say the world would be a better place if all bands encouraged this sorta behaviour at their shows -- and in life. #repost @tomjoepower #cbcq #julytalk
