(OOC: Forcing these mf-ers to bond lol, so, I don't have a perfect idea of what's happened, but I'm thinking they've gotten captured by bounty hunters/pirates or something? Plague because he's a talented assassin, Kistra because she's a bargaining chip for the Rebellion {side note, might be a little out of cannon, but Rex and Kistra have met up again, both thought the other was dead}, it's probably been awhile since their last encounter. YOU HAVE THE BEST IDEAS BESTIE I'M NOT GREAT AT PLOTSSSS 🤍💙)

Plague struggled against his handcuffs , delirious and exhausted . He wasn’t entirely sure about where he was , but he was kriffing tired . His head — no , his everything — hurt like hell . He could barely move .

He forced himself to turn his head to get a look around the cell he was in .

“ Hello , General — ”

Commander Plague was interrupted as she suddenly embraced him . Almost instinctively , he tensed up , but upon remembering that no , you aren’t being tackled to the ground by a commando droid , he relaxed a bit . Still confused , he remained still .

Plague exhaled softly . He wanted to say something . To ask why she was hugging him . But , to not ruin the moment , he stayed silent , lifting a hand to place on her back and awkwardly patting it.

" I know you far better than you know yourself. "

The words echoed through the silence between them, the former jedi still didn't reach for her weapon, she would... she couldn't not with those familiar brown eyes staring back at her... no... she'd rather die than be the one to land a killing blow on someone she once considered her brother... oh who was she kidding, he was still her brother. Her vod. And he always would be.

Those imperial bastards... what she wouldn't give to put her hands around Palpatine's throat for what he'd done. Her life was torn to shreds, any sense of normality gone, the burn scars across her hands were reminder enough... her former master was dead her friends were dead and Anakin... Anakin... she couldn't think about it or her heart might crack... her troopers had turned on her, not that it was their fault, she'd never blame them... they were victims too, but she'd be damned if she lost Plague... she'd live to fight another day and maybe, just maybe, bring him with her... she could try...

Plague said coldly , voice flat .

His balled fists ached , but that didn’t matter to him anymore .

Kill her .

His helmet lay discarded nearby , one of the lenses shattered . Even without it his voice was gravelly .

“ You are weak . You always were . ”

Plague was preparing to reach for his vibro - blade . He could use his words to distract her .

“ It surprises me you survived to this day . ”

He honestly didn’t remember Order 66 that well . It had just been like a switch flipped , and then a Jedi was dead at his feet .

But he didn’t care . Not anymore . Not never . Nu draar .

“ What does not surprise me is that you joined the Rebellion . You’re very predictable . You want to do good . It was taught to you from childhood , no ? ”

Plague’s hand neared the handle of his vibro - blade .

“ But that won’t help you now . You will still die . All of you will . ”

[ Setting : Battlefield . Situation : Both injured . ( Not lethally , but somewhat badly , i suppose . ) Era : Clone wars . ]

Commander Plague , with General Tallisk in his arms , limped through the stones and shrapnel littering the ground .

His legs stung and ached like hell , but all that mattered at the moment was getting Kistra to safety . The gunship that was picking them up couldn’t land close nearby , so he had to improvise .

“ Are you still doing okay , ori’vod ? You’re still bleeding .. ”

Plague asked , though the answer was obvious to him . They’d both sustained pretty serious injuries , though in different ways .

His eyes were sore from staring directly at extremely bright lights . His everything hurt .

His chest burnt with the breaths he wheezed out , wincing with each step .

The cuts on his face stung each time the cold , harsh air whipped at him .

“ We — We’re .. almost there .. ”

Plague exhaled a shuddering sigh . His words weren’t all that true . They still had a long ways to go ..

“ I didn’t know you were scared of a bit of lightning . ” Commander Plague remarked , giving a chuckle .

“ Although , I don’t think I really blame you . ”

He stood in front of the window he had found her by ,

“ I may have grown up around constant storms , being on Kamino and all , but .. ”

Plague didn’t finish his sentence . The booming of thunder reminded him of the battlefield , not of home .

“ Hey . It’s just a storm , you’ll be okay . ”

Kistra and Plague rarely got time to just be especially lately, everything seemed so... overwhelming... Kistra hadn't been herself since Umbara, no matter how much she swore up and down that she was alright.

Plague was sitting in the windowsill of the round window in Kistra's quarters, she'd invited him up, and they'd just been chatting as she unpacked from the mission. She slid her trunk back under her bed, tossing a tunic into the laundry basket. She'd been quiet for a little while, so it almost spooked the commander when she plopped down next to him, worming her way up into his arms, and laying her head against his chest, eyes closed, arms wrapping around his torso.

Commander Plague was very bitter about what had happened on Umbara . He hadn’t been there , but he knew what had gone on .

Lots of his vode had died . Some he might not have known all that well — but that wasn’t important to him . Not one bit . What mattered was that they were now dead .

He knew that it would’ve been galaxies worse to be there . He was glad he hadn’t been . But unfortunately , some weren’t as lucky as he was . Including the Jedi that had been there .

“ Ah — ” Plague made a little noise in his throat as she suddenly n climbed into his arms , but quickly understood that she needed the comfort . He pat her back , attempting to reassure her without words .

He had a very fast heartbeat most of the time . Even when nothing was wrong and he was safe . It seemed to come with always worrying about his and others ‘ safety every hour of the day ..

“ You — You’re okay , Kistra . ” Plague muttered , a soft sigh escaping his dry , scarred lips .

Kistra's palm made contact with Plague's ribcage, pushing him behind her shorter frame, lightsaber drawn, eyes locked on the threat in front of them, keeping him shielded behind her poised figure, the action almost second nature, like she didn't really think about it, just acted and moved on.

Plague was a little weirded out by her actions . Why was she protecting him ? He was used to it being vice versa .

He was also confused . Plague could definitely handle this himself . He wanted to be offended , but he didn’t want to be rude . She’d probably sense his unease .

Jedi are so confusing . What is she doing ?! Does she want to get shot ?

Plus , he was much taller than her . He almost wanted to laugh . Their attacker could still probably get a clean shot at his head , Plague assumed .

He didn’t think she was di’kutla , but she definitely hadn’t thought about that .

Either which way , he thought that he should appreciate the attempt .. Or whatever it was . He wasn’t quite sure . But he’d be grateful , even if he was extremely unsure of her original intentions .

“ I can handle this , General Tallisk . Don’t take a blaster bolt just cause of me . ”

It almost scared him how little armor the Jedi wore . Sure , some of them had some sort of it under their robes , but it was nothing compared to his own . Plague adored his armor . How could you live your whole life without any ? To call the Jedi di’kuts was a far stretch , and wasn’t true , but the fact they rarely wore armor was definitely di’kutla .

Whatever . Plague had better things to focus on . Like not getting shot .
