EdSurprise! Surprise! I’m back after a long, long hiatus. The reason for me being gone is none other than school. Unfortunately it is the end of my winter break and I still have to dedicate time to my midterms and my horrific amounts of homework as well as my job, so I still won’t have much time to spend here. And I’ve also been meaning to respond to the tremendous amounts of asks I’ve received regarding the Prom event I started prior to the long unexpected hiatus, but I realized I couldn’t without posting this first. With the little time I’ve had lately, I was able to come up with four long awaited characters, so without further ado, here they are!! (also disclaimer these descriptions are gonna be so shitty because i’m literally so tired and i have no creative juices rn whatever happy 2019)
Vera : Having worked uncover for most of the childhood and adolescence, Vera as well as the other exchange students have decided to retire and return to the town in which the kids of Camp Campbell reside, in search of a better wholesome lifestyle. Although they would never admit that to themselves. The self-proclaimed leader of the group, Vera, remains as cold and precise as she was years back. She strikes fear into the hearts of her classmates and is an intimidating force of nature in the school. She constantly challenges people like Ered and Sasha, who are more esteemed, for a position of power in the school, which therefore attracts the curiosity of Edward. Vera rejects the company of anyone outside of the foreign exchange group, but hesitantly acknowledges Nikki, Neil, and Max for what they had done for her when they were children. Although highly skilled in every area, Vera associates mostly with the school’s gymnastics team as she finds it a healthy way to relieve and stress from the PTSD she is haunted by from her time as a spy. Not much has changed about her from an outsider’s perspective, but she has shown to become a bit more humane. Although she stills finds enemies in the likes of Spacekid and often argues over the validity of America’s first man on the moon.
Hwan : Hwan returned to the town for the same reason as the other foreign exchange students. He remains completely dedicated to North Korea and its leader, but has come to acknowledge the individuality of Americans. He is leader of the Academics Team and is quite competitive, for he wants to attract the positive attention of his leader. He hopes to rule over each club in the school in order to gain ultimate control and win another nation for North Korea. But until then, he is content with his leader role. Not much has changed about Hwan quite yet, but he has managed to bond with Neil and surprisingly Tabii, who are also members of the same team.
Dang : Out of all of the foreign exchange students, Dang is the most excited to return. Although he is the most willing to give up his malicious ways, he is still a bit manipulative of his peers and will go to any extent to get what he wants. He is incredibly intrigued by American history (which has gotten him closer to Space Kid) and is interested in the agricultural workings of the planet. Because of his interest in plant life, he has become an adamant protester for pollution and because of them has bonded with Ered who shares the same beliefs. Besides reading, Dang also has a talent in photography. He is gifted with a camera and manages to find the beauty in even the smallest of things. He is rarely ever seen without it and not surprisingly is a member of the school’s Photography club.
Brian : Lastly, Brian has also returned with the foreign exchange students, also having experienced a personal change himself. He is still just as logical and exasperated as he was as a kid, but is now a trusted companion. He is in the school’s Marching Band and plays the drum, although he finds it incredibly dull. But nonetheless, he sucks it up in order to be closer to Nurf. Over the summers, Nurf and Brian had gotten in contact with each other and eventually fell in love and began a secret long distance relationship which eventually became a lot less long with Brian’s sudden move. However, Brian is conflicted because he wants their relationship to remain disclosed while Nurf is urging them to become public. Brian has issues with commitment, which makes that idea intimidating. However, he still wants the best for Nurf. Regardless of whatever Brian and Nurf are going through, Brian is overall distant from the rest of the students and remains to himself most of the time and has no complaints towards the school that he moved to. He remains simply content.
