Diaval
A raven turned into a man.
I'm not scared away at all, Loving you is my mission, And I will be the best at it
Hi plucky
It's a day with the possibility of answering asks! If your character was to come into guardianship of a child by accidental or otherwise means, how would they deal with it?
Heya Sleepy! Indeed it is a day with possibilities. Sunday is D&D day so that's where my head is at, and I'll share my answer for my current obsession, Diaval and Lili:
Diaval has never been around human children. The curse wiped out all life in two Kingdoms, and it's been fighting to spread ever since. He hatched after the curse and is the only one who survived to adulthood.
If he came across a child, whatever species, and for the sake of answering he'd manage to get it to the castle safely, he'd care for it gently as if it was a fragile thing.
Which, life is to be fair. He's never been a human(oid) child himself, so he's probably missing a lot, but he's a good guardian who also loves having fun with this child.
Lili wouldn't do much with her mental state the way it is. She'd hope that Diaval can care for this child instead of her when she is no longer here, hoping it gives him a new mission, and she'd make flower bracelets for both of them.
current fandom obsession is my own campaign. specifically Diaval and Lili. ack
Hi plucky
It's a day with the possibility of answering asks! What parts of your world are the most vivid to you, that you're able to visualize the best while you write it? (If you're not a visualizer, what is the most vivid part otherwise?)
Hello Sleepy!
Right now it's the ruins if a kingdom that Maleficent has made her home. She lives here with Diaval and the daughter she raised from the dead about 100 years ago.
The castle is in ruins and overgrown by fauna. Most rooms can't even be entered because of their overgrown state. Around this land, a tall wall of vines and thorns grow to keep the undead out. The undead rose to attack about 100 years ago.
Her daughter has a cloth tied around her eyes at all times, so Diaval finds her paintings with texture so she can feel them and appreciate them despite not seeing them, and he learnt how to read to read out-loud to her.
There is a lake outside where the moon's and stars' shines are reflected beautifully in the water, and when the sun glistens you swear you can see a way into the fay realm somewhere in the colours.
Maleficent's daughter is ill, but Diaval brings her outside when she can bare it and describes the world to her the best he can. She asks him if the view isn't wondrous, and he agrees that it is indeed beautiful, looking at her smile on that rare good day.
Diaval, the raven turned into a man. He's not a fighter but he'll do anything to protect the ones he love.
